So i Pre-ordered WAR and got into the Pre-order Beta. I played for 4 hours today and so far i can share the following with the community:

-I Queued for some RvR at rank (level) 4. I did gain a level from RvR. Also, when i joined the RvR instance, my stats were 'bumped' to equal those of a Rank (level) 8 player. It's interesting to note that this will help balance things out pre-endgame. (The PvP i experienced was alot of fun)

-The UI seems very clean cut and polished. However, in it's current beta state, some of the abilities seem a little sloppy to use. I'm sure this is being considered by EA Mythic.

-The PvP feels different from WoW (which is a good thing)

-The graphics are locked at a medium-low setting so i can't really comment on what they will look like. In it's current form, the textures look ok but there is no AA and things looks jagged.

If anyone has any specific questions, please post them and i will try to answer them

NOTE: The NDA has been lifted. I am not breaching the terms of service.

EDIT: I'll post a screenshot or two after i get back from work.

My build: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850, Asus P5GC-MX/1333 Motherboard, 4gb G.SKILL DDR2 667MHz RAM, Core 2 Duo e7200 CPU, 250gb Western Digital SATA Harddrive, Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit.

Have you done some PQ's yet ?
They're awesome! Though there are a bit to many players doing them, but I've done them in the closed beta with less players and it was a lot of fun.

I completely agree with you on the PvP part. ^^

If you don't want overcrowded PQs you can look around a bit and usually find an alternate one farther from town that isn't as crowded, at least for chapter 2 and beyond.

If you're going to stick it out there, don't be afraid if you get it cut off.

I've been playing in beta for 2 weeks now and I have come to basically the same conclusions.  The PQs are a blast, they are my favorite way to level.  The only downfall I see that I don't like is that it doesn't have a "world" feel to it.  It feels to me more like stages and paths, however, I anticipate this to be changing as the release all content and flight paths.  Perhaps their map system needs to be reworked in order to encompass the that "massive world" feeling I yearn for.

Overall, the game is a lot of fun.  It is basically everything they have said it would be, atleast what I can see so far.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Of course I would hope for a skill based game with a sandbox feel, but since MMOs have been going the opposite route I suppose WAR is the best option there is.  It is very PvP orientated, which I like.  Basically, they were 100% correct when they said "war is everywhere."

A good crowded one is in Chapter 2 dwarf area on some steps.. some gate. Either way the first part is killing 100 greenskins and I was thinking it'd take a while but actually went at a good pace with maybe 5-8 people around. I liked that better anyway compared to the Helga one. SOO many people its hard to really try and out contribute people =P But then again you still get influence and those rewards are just as good.

If there's a lot of people your best bet is to get into a big group, speeds up the influence, and means you can help each other if one of ya pulls the final boss

Im really enjoying it. I got into preview weekend, and it's been really awesome so far.

I do have one HUGE question that I'm sure you'll call me a noob for, but, does anyone know how to zoom in and out on a laptop with no mouse? I tried asking in game, and got a bunch of snoty answers (i was really hoping for a good friendly community like the table top has). Im too zoomed in and cant get the scope of the game. Thanks!

Uh. I know its kinda strange, and this is my first post on these forums and all...

But I pre-ordered Warhammer Online today, and as I understand it, you can only play after September 7th. So, how are you playing in the 'Pre-Order Beta' as of August 22nd?

That's when the Open Beta starts, but if he pre-ordered the CE can't he still get in Closed Beta (which is still going on)?

I assume he means he is playing in the 'Preview Weekend', which pre-orders were invited to.

Or the CE thing as mentioned in post above :P

Yeah, I know that. But I thought the CE preorder was sold out. And the way he worded his post and the title of the thread, I thought maybe he bought the preorder today or yesterday, like I did.

I dunno. I'm confused. Im still downloading the client though. Just an hour and a half to go.
