Darkfall

My opinion of why they are taking 3 months to make this video is because they are trying to make what little they actually have look as impressive as possible.

If you think about it, you can make even the most basic MMO or any game look fantastic or at least half decent if you dedicate enough time to presenting it in the best possible way.

Hence we are still waiting 3 months after this video was first mentioned, because over the last 3 months they have been trying to make Darkfall look as good as they possibly can in this video, and this is obviously something they have always had great difficulty in doing ,and still appear to.

They obviously don’t have much to work with, because if they really did have a feature and content complete MMO like the one they have been talking about for years currently in internal beta testing they could simply make numerous short videos with fraps and post them all on Youtube, and it would prove all the nay Sayers wrong instantly.

But they wont do that, and they never have, and they probably never will, because they probably don’t have a feature and content complete MMO like the one they have been talking about for years.

That’s why they have released so few videos over so many years, it just takes them so long to actually make whatever they had at the time even look half decent, and because they have so little to show the videos have always been so short.

That’s why they need over 1 TB of fraps, which is completely ridiculous, unless of course you are taking hours of footage of something that is not very impressive, and is very limited, so you can just select a few minutes of the best bits that make whatever they have look as good as possible.

The reason why they keep delaying this video is because they keep realizing what they actually have to show in the video is not good enough and does not comprehensively demonstrate all the features and content they have promised.

So they just keep delaying it for another month, and keep working on the video trying to make it much more impressive then actually just showing Darkfall ever would be.

I predict as I have before and many others have, this video when its finally released will simply be just more of the same we have already seen for years, but with improved graphics, because I think that’s all Darkfall is.

As I said this is just my opinion, and we will see or not see what will actually be in the video next week or whenever it finally releases, but I very much doubt it will come next Friday, because Tasos himself is not even sure that it will.

The few faith I still have on DFO is dying quickly... I am really having a hard time trying to keep it until the end of the year... they were on freaking vacations!!!!!!!!

I'm not seeing how you feel he is doing so.  Tasos and his company haven't exactly given much to look forward to in the past few years.  The amount of "information" on this game is large, but most comes from the mouth of the company.  So really, unless your name's a contradiction, and you're not very "down-to-earth", you would look at the information released on the game, (including dates and promises) skeptically.

More importantly, on your prediction, Polarization; I see where you're coming from.  I hope it's not all some god-awful scam, but things don't look great for Tasos and company.  It just seems as if they've dug a hole too large to crawl back out of.

maybe he was just estimating because thats completly stupid to say
