Dark and Light wasn't killed by WoW. It was just a terrible, terrible game from the start. It was buggy, unfinished, the devs were morons, they hired multiple third-party companies to handle their public relations (none of whom knew anything about the game), they lied to their customers, they tried to make people pay to be in the beta (they called it a "pre-release") and they even stole V-World technology to make the game in the first place. And even if all of that hadn't happened, the gameplay was a joke anyway so it still would have sucked. In other words, Dark and Light was so terrible that it would have died anyway even if WoW had never been made. So WoW doesn't deserve any credit for this one. Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. Not to derail, but I have to agree. WoW is a great game, and people play for years, then bitch it sucks. People grow out of it, after having a blast for so long, then join the hate - WoW crowd.

Some ex wow players even go to the extent of denying they even played the game so they can join the disgruntled UO/EQ vet (sore losers) in their bias hatred. |

While the picture itself is funny, it's not even close to accurate. None of those games ( except LotRO which really shouldn't be up there to begin with ) were killed by WoW. All of them were killed by dev and management incompetence and stupidity. |

I hate wow for the game it is , the one I tried and didn't like ,the game design being used in far to many games today.I didn't like EQ either which wow ripped off , 10 million customers doesn't mean the game's good . I love how the 'serious business' brigade is all over this thread nitpicking about the games on the wall. The picture doesn't necessarily have to imply that WoW killed them but that WoW is simply dominant over them. Hey I used to hate WoW too after I quit but then I realised I had a bloodly blast. Some people really have no sense of humour. O_o o_O |

Never was a fan of wow or highfantasy in general , Played till 30 and couldn't take it any longer. Get your facts straight I am a disgruntled SWG vet .
