I havent been obsesesing over it either. I stopped playing forgot about it and ecided to check to see if it was in a better state then when I left in june since I cant post on the official forums I decided to ask here and found out it hasnt gotten better. Then I got drawn in cause its really fun to hate on this game.

I agree with both sides here, If there are problems people should know about them . However there's a line between stating problems and spamming the forums. A lot of the threads started here don't really warrant a thread, when there are already 20 other threads talking about the same issue.

My second concern is about people trolling threads started by people who state they enjoy the game , Or have something positive to say about an announcement or patch .Thats about the only thing that bothers me truly. However it's a public forum it would be stupid to think any of that will change.

No flames from me Alewis.  I agree with what you said 100%.  I do not mind someone expressing an opinion but the amount of anti AoC spam on these forums has become ridiculous. 

I really do not see the point  of all these posts.  If you do not like a game the solution is simple.  Uninstall it and move on with your life. 

I have played a few bad games myself but you will never find me spamming it on a forum.  If someone asks my opinion, I will share what I feel are the pros and cons of a game in an intelligent manner. 

Maybe instead of deleting all the anti threads a better solution would be to consolidate all the threads to one complaint thread or section.

The kids nowadays whine about everything. Learn to ignore them like I do :) No one respects their opinion except their kind because they don't respect anyone else playing a game.

Now I quit AoC and will be playing Warhammer. I think Funcom did not do what they have promised. But I am not running to the forums and whining about anything, because first Funcom is an MMO developer right or wrong, which I support the MMO development, second there are and there will be people playing their MMOs, and I just respect them. If they enjoy and have fun, good for them. If I don't like an MMO, I simply quit, and don't make a fuzz about it.

I don't flame the game nor do I hate the game.  I don't like the game its not for me.  It is broke and unfinished.  I can't stand funcom but most of all I hate people who keep posting stop the flaming for it only  annoys the haters and flamers more.   Seriously I hope you have a better game experience than me with that game, but if you don't want the flamers to come out quit posting posts like this.  It only causes the same old fight to appear on the boards.   I also think its ignorant of you to complain about the haters before you have even played the game.  Once you play it you might find out why people hate funcom.  If you don't like the flamers don't read their posts.  Just like if I see someone being to bias towards funcom or any game I just take it with a grain of salt and move on.  Just stop asking people to stop voicing their views and their hate for the game and company.   Yes I think people get carried away but the less posts like this think the more the haters will get over it and go on. Plus you should write funcom and tell them to stop being idiots too. 

Playing game since release and still enjoy it and yes it have client stability issue, it lack meaningful end game (sieging was fixed recently .. but still no PvP XP) and they did not deliver DX10 at release.
 

Do I think they did great job:
Release was almost flawless ( only 2 games i remember that they had that good release ( LOTRO, CoH)
With every patch they fix some stuff and they broke some ... critical one even.
The game is less optimized now then it was at release.
 

As for failur well it did fail its not WoW killer or uber main stream MMO, it still beats LOTRO and EVE subs by 2x and most likely within 1 or 2 months it will have same ammount as those two MMO's.

Few funny things:
You see people screaming omg omg direct X 10 is missing well my WoW manuals from 2004 have section about battle grounds i dont remember them when I started to play.


As far as the content go I can say the same yes end game is boring as there is not much to do, except raids and now sieging but thats it. The WoW was pretty unfinishhed too at majority of things came way later -> now some are screaming yea that was back in 2004 the market is diffrend now and I agree in 2008 one would expect more polishing and finished MMO.

But the funny part is those that are bashing AoC now how unfinished it is have double standards for WaR you can see bunch of post from same players ( lots of those with failcom avatars too )  where they explain WoW had several years to get there etc...

p.s. I play AoC but I would not suggest anyone to buy it at this state, rather wait for a month or two and see.
( if you really need something maybe you should check WaR or any of old MMO's ... i heard Vanguard was decent now .. it was pile of crap at release and i really felt scamed by SOE like haters are feeling scamed now by Funcom )

I would not begrudge you your right to post on a position opposite of those who do not like the game or the company but at the same time I can't agree with your attempts to silence anyone elses opinion either.

I respect that you are willing to make up your own mind about the game as I'm sure most of the opponents of failcom ultimately do as well (though some would think if no one spent money on these half ass products companies would stop doing these things).

In conclusion I just want to say I actually hope you find what you're looking for in AoC only because I would not wish for someone who shared interests similar to my own to be let down as I and others have been,but likewise you would do well to avoid the posts if they bother you so much and stop trying to control the opinions of others simply because you don't share the same view.

I highlighted the point of emphasis and where my shots will be impacting.

You never played AoC... well, those of us complaining and ranting about AoC and Failcom **did** play AoC, alot of us (including myself) having been there at Day 1.

You have no experience with the game.  We do.  We've seen what's gone wrong and actions that have not taken place in rectifying the game's problems.

We'll flame those people in Failcom as much as we want.  The FC devs give monkeys smashing at keyboards a bad name.

Edit to add:  It's also quite fair to contrast any MMO to another.  Because these MMOs are **competitors** to each other, vying for our hard earned cash and our valuable time.  That is the fate of every MMO when it comes out, it WILL be compared to it's competition, even if the competition has already dug its roots and is well established.

A Fanboy is not someone who simply loves a game, its someone who blindly loves a BAD game while the majority know it's crap.  They will not be swayed no matter how much logic you throw at them.  It's very stubborn behavior.

Those with open minds liked the game then slowly saw it for what it was and our opinion was then changed - we accept facts as they are laid out in front of us, not ignore them like a blind religious zealot.

Well first of all I never said that everyone should just "shut up and leave it at that".   I said that "I do not mind someone expressing an opinion but the amount of anti AoC spam on these forums has become ridiculous." If you had the mental capacity to read past the second sentence you would have known that. 

Seriously I do not even mind some negative posts but when you see the same immature, unintelligent stuff posted over and over.  Its gets a little old after a while. 

Like I said personally I think that the best solution would be to have a disgruntled AoC player section on these forums where people can go vent.  And have a section where people can go to get information about the game free from negative posts.  Kind of like what SWG has.

AoC is the best game ever, there is not one bug in it and everything is polished and working as intended and if you see someone mentioning a bug its not its a feature. /scarsm

AoC have bugs and missing content but I like it enjoy it and still play it.

To bad I dont love AoC as much as haters hate it so I dont plan to open blog and write how great is, I dont plan to spend most of the times on forums and opening new threads about same shit over and over again etc... what I plan to do is go back in game and spend some time playing.
