Can anyone tell me if there are any different types of servers, (PVP, RP, RPPVP) anything like that or i would think different? If so, what are the different types and what are each of them all about? Thanks |

Just one type RVR the game is not structured as such for a specific ruleset other then what it is (RvR,PQ,PVE) I will add that one could do RP with in the structure via the guild system as there is nothing to prevent it.

there are 2 different types of servers. Open and Core. Open would be the PVP server. I'm not sure on the rule set but there's something about a chicken thats driving people crazy on one of the types of servers. The beta testers have been testing the Core system, they did not play on an open server (except maybe the elder testers). |

How the hell do you roleplay in this game?.... it seems very un-inspiring RPwise.... |

I have yet to see any info on an open pvp server which if ture would be a major gank fest the way the game is setup hence the chicken penalty. |

It has been known for some time that the server types will be Core and Open. In Core servers you have to flag yourself for PvP in order to enable the opposing side players from attacking you in your side's PvE zones. In the Open servers, everyone is always PvP enabled, in whatever zone they are. Both server types use the chickbn rule as a ganking deterrent, that is unless something changed during beta. And both will have an RP server option. this just means, that characters names will be monitored to fit within the setting. |

from what I understand about the chicken rule is that when you travel to a lower lvl zone u are turned into a chicken and can be easily 1 shoted by anyone. In the Core servers no one will be able to kill u as a chicken unless u agress someone who has their flag turned on or you turn ur pvp flag on. On an open server if you go to a lower zone and you become a chicken you can be 1 shotted very quickly by the opposing faction. This will be very annoying for lvl 40's because I heard you sometimes would like to travel through lower lvl zones to get to the rvr area's. |

Right. To clear it up. There is a 2 tier difference. You get turned into a chicken once entering a lower level RvR zone only and you get a 10 second timer which disapears once leaving the zone. Otherwise you get turned and have 1 hp and one attack that does 1 damage. this happens only as tier 3 in a tier 1 zone or tier 4 in a tier 2 zone. |
