so are shamans gimp or something? just wondering...as everyone is voting mainly dps classes...just wondering..im not in beta but shaman really temps me and i want to heal on destro

Heh. Shamans are hardly gimp. They might actually be a little overpowered. As far as the Warrior Priest goes, do not think of him as a melee class. He's not. He's a healer class who does melee to be more effective at healing. If you approach him thinking of a Paladin, you will be sorely disappointed. Think of him as a cleric with a little extra melee DPS added. All of the healers are just that, healers. They will never out DPS the pure dps classes out there, whether ranged or melee. A melee DPS will tear a healer a new one in most cases. This game follows the definite classic rock/paper/scissors. Tanks are effective vs. melee dps. Ranged dps are effective against tanks. Melee dps are effective vs. healers. You lose sight of that and you're in for a world of hurt. When you're talking about 1 v. 1 fights, don't worry, it's rarely gonna happen. What happens more often is that you see that lone guy, chase him, then he joins his buddies so you run away, only to find out more of his buddies had swung around behind you and you end up very dead. Staying in groups is very key for RvR. |
