they said it would be daft to build a castle in a swamp!

but i built it anways! it sank into the swamp.

so i built another one, that sank into the swamp.

the third one burned down then sank into the swamp.

but the fourth one stood strong!

(funcom is on their second castle i think)

Because funcom, instead of fixing their game with the required resources, they leave an untalented live team to pick up the pieces while they already moved onto other projects. The new mmorpg The Secret World, The retail expansion, AND the graphical overhaul for Anarchy Online.

If they put all that on hold, kept the original dev team and let them fix the game first, then work on the other projects second, that would be good. But what just happened is they quit before finishing and left a few less talented people behind to take care of the rest. They have no sense of priorities or work ethic.

its like hiring someone to build you a house, and they took longer than said it would take, so instead of them finishing it, they left to go build another house for someone else.

I also am never buying another Funcom product again until i see some change in the company as a whole.

First a miracle has to happen to keep them in business.

Second who in their right mind would buy more garbage from Failcom? There's not a chance in hell that I will ever buy anything from F#$kcom again for any reason.

After Anarchy Online fiasco Funcom's expensions made a lot of impact and lots of those "trolls" which claimed I would never buy another Funcom product did infact bought expensions and were playing AO for several years.

p.s. Not saying that will happen to age of conan.

The big patch that has been waiting for 3 months will be in the expansion and it will be released next month.

The funny thing is Funcom only gets 20% of the box revenue.  At an average of (guessing) $40 US a pop, that is $8 per box. 

Ultimately it will be a last ditch attempt to return to a profitable subscriber level.  They will be well below that by then.  Like, 150k short.

what people like me do is hopelessly  wait for miracle to happen

I invested (ove $1000 for a new computer + $40 for mammoth code on ebay + SE )

After investing quite a bit , when the game fails so miserable u refuse to believe that u wasted all the money.

Finally on aug 20 i put the curtains down , humbly accept my foolishness and cancelled my subscription.

Without , even fulfilling basic game as promised even mentioning expansion is unthinkable.

For me its done expansion or not, 2009 has AION and GW2 coming

There are a lot of stupid people who will buy this expansion regardless of the current state of the game, and regardless of them adding what they orginally promised.

Warhammer will make the same announcement 6 months after launch, announcing the readding of the 4 cities and 4 classes that they cut, along with the removal of the level reward advancement system, real world siege and castle sieges, and all the other promised crap.

Man im glad star wars the force unleashed, fable 2, endwar, naruto ninja storm, red alert 3, and a lot of other single player games are coming out in the next 2 months, because mmo are a sad fucking dissapointment these days.

But all I have found is the same =brown armor for 80 levels

Well its on the npcs !!! But still it looks awesome!!!!111111 Youll get to have them in the expansion

and sas dont feel bad about building yourself a new pc I did too for aoc and now I have a new pc to play all sorts of other better games...

QFE,I thought even warhammer might be different, however last night I found out those who tested endgame "elders" Are still under NDA and It will never be removed.Anyone passing around info that Mythic is handling stuff different is full of it.

Hmm... why does this announcement feel like an insult?

The game being as incomplete as it was from launch, with many people feeling sore at paying for promises undlivered, they announce an expansion customers will have to pay more for? Yikes...

Ah well, who cares. They had their moment. Now it's war's turn. Maybe once I am bored of WAR will take a look at this again.

But it all leaves a pretty bad taste in the mouth.
