hi people, I have played 2 of the three  or what ever you wanna call um'. so i might not have the hole veiw.

I don't love this game but I don't hate it...

heres the positives...

GREAT for PvP!!! but you dont have to PvP if you dont want to like in last chaos or FlyFF or any number of  player v.s player games

When your peson is resting HE DOSN"T LOOK GAY like in games such as FlyFF...

When standing still your peson doen't girate back and forth like a crazed mongose...

all wepons and armour that you have equiped apper on your body and when you get out of battle mode THEY DONT DISAPEAR...

Great sopport team and they LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!

Updates are almost daily (And not just STUPID updates that do NOTHING)

2 servers came out in a matter of a mounth oh and theres 3 servers (IT GROWS FAST)

There are laguage spasific servers (NO LAGUAGE BERIAR)

TONS of races to pick from

Elves

Dark Elves

Half Elves

Uthgar (Half human Half yeti)

3 differant kinds of Human

Dwarves

And I might be missing a few i haven't played one Faction...

Heres the negitive

Hollow creaters and players (you can walk through and at Certain angles see through them...

Races are restricted to Factions (exept humans 1 kind of human per factions...

After you pick a faction your stuck with it unless you go to a new server (differant language BIG problem)

PEOPLE ALWAYS PICK THE IGNIS FACTION THUS THEY COTROL EVERY SINGLE SITINKING OUT POST!!!!!

bad falling graphics (intant teloport ation and no damage from 150ft falls)

LOTS OF JERKS INGAME AND NO WAY TO REPORT THEM!!!!

 Only 7 person team made game but considering they did and continue to do a GREAT job!!!

If i missed something please by all meens add it...

Ok, I would like to add, that the premium in this game is NOT AT ALL unbalancing unlike knight online, runscape and every other free mmo out there.

You can advance faster as far as xp goes, but that doesn't give you an advantage against someone your own lvl.

Last thing, Ignis DOES NOT own the war zone at all. It rapidly fluctuates and by no means is Ignis the largest realm. In reality, Syrtis is, but Ignis is a close second.

I personally give this game 5 stars!

Regnum in my book is a very well developed game, the lack of player clipping is minor, and not uncommon, even world of warcraft has 0 player clipping. My only real issue with this game is that all and all, its a constant grind to lvl 50. The quests are either speak to such and such, or kill # of these monsters. And the fact that there is nearly no player customization, every level 30 barbarian class player has the same armor... Although the character creation allows *some* customization as far as hair color and hair style, as well as a very minor ability to slightly adjust your character's overall size.

But with the lack of crafting, trades, dungeons, or semi creative quests, I find it to be a pure grinder.

I'd be a little more sympathetic if it were not for the staff claiming Regnum Online to be out of development.

The PvP is decent and has a attack system similar to WoW, I'd have to say as far as that goes its pretty player friendly.

Well, at last a well put review of the points of this game!

I'm trying all F2P around there, so with your descriptions I guess it's worth the try

This game once held all kinds of promise, but it's promise wasted.

This game is defined by it's MIND NUMBING LAG, and nothing else.

Do yourself a favor, find another free MMO to play- this one is not worth your time.

Regnum Online is a great game. I dont know any other free mmorpg game, which has an competetive RvR-system.

RvR in RegnumOnline is really a lot of fun. The latest new update made it even considerably better with adding invasions and improving the spell and class balance a bit.

I dont agree on the point that there are much lags in the game. I have only a few lags if there are many people nearby.

If someone gets many legs there is mostly any problem in their software- or hardware environment or bad internet connection.

yes, teenagers with a lot of spyware on their pcs tend to be the ones with lag...

regnum is a great game, I've reached lvl 50 now and Invasions made me have the best fun I had in years in an mmorpg!

i love this game! even if it has some problems and not so great graphics, the community is great and the game is getting better and better!

All one needs do is search NGD's own forums to see that the lag issue is a huge one that affects most of Regnum's player base, and one that has plagued regnum since day 1. They have promised time and again to improve that aspect of the game, and have totally failed in that regard to date.

So, if a game with massive lag, totally unbalancing premium items, HUGE game changes that completely re-write game play/balance, and a staff that bans public dissenters(i have been banned in game for my reviews on these gaming forums) is what you're looking for- by all means- play regnum.

Seriously, there are a ton of free online MMO's and private servers that totally blow regnum away.

UNFORTUNATELY,  this is no longer the case. With the Invasion update NGD is now selling extremely powerful epic items to premium users (In "Platinum Boxes"). These items (or rather the premium players who purchase them) will TOTALLY dominate the game in the future.

Another huge concern is that you can start a character, spend all kinds of money lvling him to 50 and equipping him, and NGD will come out with an update that massively reduces your characters abilities, or totally changes the playing style of your class.

They have done it countless times. This latest update has hugely negatively impacted both the archer subclasses. Not only have archers offense and defense been greatly reduced, but their weapons have also been reduced in stats as well, in some cases greatly reduced in stats.

It really pains me to see what Regnum has become...this is a game that was vastly superior the first day it was brought out of Beta...and one that has gone downhill with almost every update since. Seriously....over 1 year into the game's release, and they are still totally re-writing spells/powers and class abilities, and making massive adjustments to class balance.

If you are a game designer, and you want to study what NOT to do with a game's development- Regnum would be an excellent place to start.
