There are no Stealth classes per se, 2 classes the Witch Hunter and the Witch Elf can stealth.  However it is a very limited stealth and by no means is it the center peice of the class.  If you try to play either class as a pure stealther you will get steamrolled over and over and over and over again.

Having played a Witch Elf.

OK, so you have an invis, but it doesn't last that long and it's on a long timer.  But you do get a bonus if you use a skill while stealthed.  There are different skills which give you different buffs.

But here is the problem.  So you stealth up, hey that group of 10 healers and 30 bright wizards can't see you. Fun!.  Let's, sneak up on them.  So you go up and WAMO, take of 5% of someones health because WE has not burst damage.  Now you have 20 bright wizards all targeting you.

You cry, delete and reroll a tank.

Actually it does have uses.  But the above does happen.

Very skill-based and opportunistic class. Cool nonetheless.

This.  I have played the WE and the WH and while some of the complaints are true, a lot of the complaints are due to player error.  Basically players are in the wrong mindset, they treat stealth with the 2 classes like the rogue in WoW.  Except in WAR it is a situational TOOL, not a key concept to the class itself.  Also when you are a lightly armored high DPS killing machine why in the name of everything sane would you run into a mob of players yelling at the top of your lungs?  You are going to get slaughtered, period, in any game.

However if you play the class smart, learn to use terrain, and learn to use timing they are both extremely dangerous and extremely fun classes to play.  You just need to change your mindset a bit and learn to adapt to what is given to you.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Witch Elves have the most burst of any career in the game, you were clearly outplayed.

Stealth is used to close distance with an opponent in WAR, allowing you the opportunity for a surprise attack. It is not for hiding or permanently using as a crutch/safeguard against getting killed.

If you thought you were going to stealth into a group of 30+ players and take one out before they noticed, then you need to realize what the game is that you are playing, this is not some face melting easy mode pwnfest like Warcraft.

You made a huge tactical error, and it bit you in the ass, thats no fault of the career.

Exactly, the above quote by Green Chaos is a good example of someone trying to play the career like a traditional stealther would be played, when the concept is nothing like previous implementations of the mechanic in other games. As such, the experience was less than adequate.
