So when I want to raid with my guild buddies I go raid.   When I want to kill greenskins I will go to WAR.   Most likely wow will loose a little of its population whiel War and Wow might actually share its subscribers.  Several in my guild were playing Aoc till they got bored and just went back to playing full time in Wow.  Same thing looks like it will happen with War.  To be honest never understood the concept why one has to quit playing a game for another.

Hehe trust me, the RvR in WAR will consume your soul its that addictive and this is comming from a 3 year PvP veteran of Warsong in WoW.  Wrath of the Lich King can burn in hell for all I care... RvR and more RvR is my new crack.  I cant tell you why... NDA... but there have been numerous times that I have felt like I was in the most intense Fantasy Battle ever... Talking Lord of the Rings opening battle epicness... bodies flying everywhere... anyway Im dancing the NDA line :P  Which might not be a bad thing if I lose my Beta Access I can sleep again after 3 months of solid RvR. 

No.. it won't kill WoW.... in fact... read this:... by the time the wow expansion is out, MANY people who will have started WAR will be bored and return to WoW...

The game is fun for a bit.. then gets boring...

why wow 2? eventually some game not made by blizzard will do better than wow. i dont think there will even be a wow2. warhammer will take about half wow's subscribers. all the wow pvp'ers will go to war and the last time i checked the pvp servers on wow are the most heavly populated.

Yea hope it is all you say it will be, but I will not stop playing WoW.  Not like I can't do both and work and have a girlfriend and a life lol.  But still I like Wow and I have no doubt I will like War  Just don't know why  there is a mind set that it has to be one or the other is all.  Now then again my Wow time might get cut back if I find War more addictive and a few of my friends in my guild come over and play, but still don't see myself abandoning wow just to play war.  I play both and still have fun just might have to ditch the having a life thing.  lol

you're so caught up in your love for wow, that when someone says a game might kill wow you call them ignorant. wow is not a religion maybe a cult but its not a religion. warhammer is going to seriously hurt wow, you can see blizzard are already running scared by introducing siege warfare...warhammer has the backing of the biggest gaming studio in the world, if EA want to kill wow they have the money to do so.

It certainly wont beat WoW, but I have a feeling WAR will produce some bigger numbers than all the MMORPGs following WoW's release. WAR will hopefully go over 1-2 million subs.

People have to realize though that WoW, has over 11 million. Its internationally popular, more popular than the WARHAMMER franchise internationally (due to products like Warcraft 1-3 and StarCraft). WAR focuses more on PVP where as WoW has more PvE content with PvP backing it. WoW reaches a wider audience than WAR.

WAR will be good, but the way its designed, it attracts more players that like PVP only. Sadly there is a large population of PvE players out there that are absolutely scared to death of PvP and think of it as a greater form of evil, WAR will alienate quite a few of these people regardless of its PvE content.

Trust me on this, the only game that will top and kill WoW will be Blizzards next MMORPG which they have been working on for awhile now.

Blizzard isn't scared of WAR, it's the other way around.  WoW dominates the mmo genre, it is the MOST electrifying mmo today in gaming entertainment, and that's a fact.   WAR is like a cheap hooker on a corner in LA, and WoW is like a high priced classy escort from Belize.  Sorry, but WAR has no chance.

Oh and anything you say is unbiased, your name makes me not take you seriously. I have played wow and didn't find it electrifying, and i wouldn't know much about hookers as i have a girlfriend and get laid for free.

love WoW? erm.. No... do I play WoW? erm.. no.. stopped playing years ago...
Do I respect and can take my head out of my a**e to actually awknoledge that it's a good game?... yeah... I can do that... which is more than I say about you..

It's mathematically IMPOSSIBLE to kill WoW right now... WAR is by far NOT the most inspirational game... in fact... it's copied too many things from WoW to even attempt to try and kill WoW :)
 

Blizzard running scared?... because they announced siege warfare?... erm.. they announced it before AoC was released... and it was a response to AoC having siege wargare... NOT Warhammer ;)
 

You really need to wake up.... sure WAR might get up to 1... 2 million subscribers?... it will never... ever.. get to the ammount WoW has...

Well in my oppinion it doesn't have to be a wow killer. We won't see a wow killer imo until wow is really outdated and all those players go searching for a new game. basicaly only time will kill wow.

However, wether a game has 500k, 1M or 10m subs matters more to the company than tothe player. You are not sharing the same world with 10M wow playes, you are spread across the servers, so if wow had 1 server with 10k people on it, it would probably be a very similar expirience for the player. (if we exclude that more subs mean more income which can indirectly translate into more updates)

AOC is not a failure because it has 50k, 100k or 400k players as they claim, it is a failure because the game is full of gaping holes and crap support and no sense of community. It is not fun to play it after a certain point and that is the main reason AOC is failure, at least in my eyes.

War will be a big success if it manages to offer long term fun gameplay, coupled with good support for teh subscribers and good short and long term development strategy, regardless of the number of players after the subs exceed a certain treshold.

Regardless of everything, it won't see me for a couple of months in any case, which Mythic has to thank FC for :P

now i do expect WAR to take a large chunk of WoW's PvPers + a few PvEr's. im guessing WoW will have to merge servers in about 6 months when they figure out how many will not be coming back.

i predict those DAoC people who also plays WoW will quit and turn to WAR. Those who want to stick to WoW has every reason to do so with the new expansion coming very soon

WAR will be like AoC. Good concept, but rushed way too much. WAR has already dropped 4 cities and 4 classes to be ready this soon.

To many kids are being babyset with WoW for any one game to kill it. I left WoW after i hit lvl 70 and was like ( i dont want to instance grind again). If you played DAoC , this game is going to be a lot like it. Better Graphs and maybe just maybe more balanced.
