Does anyone know when direct 2 drive (us) WAR open beta client will be available for download.. Still not able to download yet.. Also when do you suspect open beta will offically begin? THANKS! CsM III |

According to Mythic, the cilent will be available for download starting on the 18th of August, tomarrow. |

The big difference I see between the hype of war and the hype of aoc...was at about this time in the life of both games you start hearing bits and pieces from the testers, sentences here and there, paragraphs other places. The big difference is in *what* you heard from both camps. The aoc lowdown was always like "Man if they let the game go live in this state it's going to fail, trust me...I'm playing it right now and YUCK" and "wow I'm glad I tested this flying piece of crap before I wasted my cash, people are going to be sorely dissappointed..." Whereas with this game you get alot more "This game is going to rock, I would tell you more but..." and "It's good, trust me, I'm testing now and yeah...you'll see."
Just a comparison of pre-release "buzz" you could say from hearing things about both games about the same time frame. |

so frustrating though to be so close to playing the game yet so far away. hehe... having the files but not able to play the game.
aah well, hopefully they'll let us in soon right? i'm ready to make my character who is destined to die a horrible apparent final death before being reincarnated on the live servers. 
Really, I haven't been this excited about a game in years... s'scary!
