company of heroes or world in conflict.
Age of empires is dated, though it is good, and supreme commander is boring. |

supreme commander sucked, I didn't like it at all Age of Empires 3 is a lot better |

When I played supreme commander I found the time spent very slow. The buildup to the actual fight took quite a bit of time. I think someone once told me that in the campaigns each map should give you about 2.5 hours of play. Also you'll need a pretty beefy computer to run it right. Age of Empires on the other hand I found very entertaining. It is dated however so it will run on just about anything. You could give Sins of a Solar Empire a shot, or Homeworld 1 or 2. They're rts style games and they take place in space. |

They're both excellent RTS's, but it's really down to preference. In general, this question is pointless. People that like one will probably hate the other, so you will never get a good response. Try both, if you can get demos. That's the only way you'll know which one you like better. |

Justification is an event. Sanctification is a process. |
I play sup c and the next version forged Alliance and for me they freaking rock.me and my Buddy's have played up to 6 hours if not more, single player for me is the best because i can pause when ever i like and come back and pick it back up any time.Hell i have gotten so good i let the other side build his forces up to at least 900 characters then beat him down and let him start all over. Its a a blast,it will push your machine to the max tho,but my mine can handle quite well.but thats me,i have completely mastered that puppy. 2.66 quad intell 1333 2- 8800 nvidia gts 4 g ram OCZ ASus board |

They're two very different kinds of RTS games...Age of Empires is a faster paced action type of game, whereas Supreme Commander is a much more in depth and deep experience where games take a great deal more time...If you want to jump in and just start raping and pillaging, go Age of Empires...if you want to play games that last for over an hour and have you managing hundreds of units, go Supreme Commander. |
