maybe the story just forgets voyager ever happened. Which I would be completely cool with...Voyager was pretty lame.

the borg wasnt destroyed by Voyager. they only taken out a trans-warp hub which lets them get to each section of the galaxy.

plus within those 30 years of Nemesis and now they could of re-built them for all we know

While the novels aren't canon, there's a couple out right now that revolve around Janeway, Picard, and a fight with the Borg. I can't remember the titles, but the one I saw was by Peter David (I think). If the game's not canon, they can do pretty much whatever the heck they want.

1) i dont think they can rebuild the transwarp hub because 7 said there were only about 9 in the galaxy or something, and im thinking if they could of built more they would.

2) Voyager wasnt that bad

3) future janeway injected herself with that virus that im pretty shure echip was injected with, then had the queen assimilate her, thus infecting her directly with the virus. I dont think it actaully destroyed the whole collective but maybe just severly crippled them and 30 years later there back

They destroyed ONE transwarp hub and killed the Queen (again) and left the Borg relatively devastated. Who is to say that in 30+ years they couldn't have easily repaired all the damage Voyager did?

been a while since i saw the last voyager so correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't it unamatrix one (the primary borg nexus) that got destroyed by the virus and the hub by the combat while they where traveling in it?

and i'm guessing that even if there were meant to be more than 1 of each of these

you guys need to seriously relook at the Voyager series (God im gonna sound like a Trekkie geek but here it goes)

Voyager NEVER destroyed the Borg nor did they ever implied they did.  They simply took out a network hub in the delta quadrant and a Queen with it.

There are still 3 transwarp hubs for the Borg collective and it takes only 20 years to rebuild the destroyed one.  Also, there is more than one Queen in the Borg.  They have many queens (you need to see it as a Bee Hive versus a monarchy)

Personally, I enjoyed the Voyager series but they never, in no way, implied Janeway took out the Borg.  They merely destroyed a Transwarp hub. That's it.

Janeway loved to whisper-talk.   Every stinking show she would whisper into the camera.  Why?

I think she is a gossiper at heart.  Maybe Kate's soap acting experience ruined her voice.

Because of that......she is on the bottom of my list for Captains.   I will be pleased to disobey one of her orders as Admiral.

PS: I wonder if she will be an Admiral of the rear.   I could send someone behind her to....oh forget it.

It's Star Trek, its all about getting the facts mixed up and disorganized.  Don't you ever watch the shows?

In the Star Trek dimension you can have any character from any episode anywhere at anytime.  Therefore no matter what you do in Star Trek, it makes sense because that's how it is.

All they would need to do to justify anything done is mention one word or letter if you will.   Q

Thanks for reading.

I had an epiphany this morning about what a great faction the Borg would be for this game:

In this game's timeline, the Borg are weakened and everybody is stronger, so the power levels aren't as imbalanced as they were at Wolf 359.

Also, due to their nature as drones, having all-NPC crew isn't an issue. It would actually hinder the RPG factor to have PC crewmembers since they may not respond immediately to commands or have connection problems or whatever. NPC drones just make more sense RPG-wise.

The TNG Episode "I, Borg" established that Borg do actually travel in small groups, so starting out as an individual drone wouldn't be a big deal. The hardest part would be working around the problem of assimilation as the final goal. There would have to be something else to do than going around attempting to assimilate everything. How would the Borg participate in commerce? Would they explore something a sector of the galaxy without trying to assmilate?

Oh gosh, I really dread how nerdy this response is going to appear, but oh well... I've read pretty much all the novels, seen every show and every movie.   The Borg are not dead.  They are if anything more dangerous, because they have become more adaptable, and they now have a mean streak, not simply an implacable confidence in their inevitability.  Their stock of drones was severely depleted.  There has been an interesting nuance added to Starfleet's understanding of their methods of drone creation: some drones are incubated, others are converted.  The Borg rebels, led by Hugh, are attempting to establish a new culture, and reacquire the ability to procreate.  Most this group were freed through unintended consequences of Unimatrix Zero, a kind of mental soma-paradise the Borg queen used to keep certain species from challenging their conversion.

Aaaaaanyway.  Long story short:  the Borg are nowhere near gone from the evolving storyline.

This is very accurate. Janeway only destroyed one of many Transwarp hubs and one of many queens. The Borg produce queens like McDonald's makes Big Macs. That was only about the 3rd or 4th Borg queen we've seen killed over the course of the franchise. Apparently they have a good supply of them.
