Man, and do you fly to Mars whenever you lose a court case?! Cause that would be a little bit difficult to catch you there... BTW I've been informed that NPCube has been convicted in yet another case and that the Clerk's Office has just informed the winning party that their Office was not in a position to notify NPCube since its manager Cesar Jacquet was nowhere to be found on Reunion Island/France. |

Lets put it this way, if DnL was 3-Mile Island, then Mourning was Chyrnobl. You obviously never played Mourning after it released to the pubic. DnL was a game, if even for a short time. They released Mourning before there were any skills for the players to use. The fact that there i still something to "play" makes it a thousand times more successful than Mourning. To put it another way.... if DnL was Britany Spears, then Mourning was Michael Vick.....

Ah! I was almost right in saying that "I guess we'll see a number of posters putting forward "it's all Pix's fault " if they fired every single soul at NPCube.": We have now kinda official answer on the subject: http://www.darkandlight.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72092 "Alas the development team was strongly reduced while waiting for the end of the lawsuit. We hope to be able to reopen the completely functional servers soon. Please excuse us for the inconvenience." So, if they fired the whole team (which is translated by "strongly reduced the team" in the NFAAW - NPCube/Farlan and al world) this is because they were waiting for the end of THE lawsuit. I wonder if this is for the same reason that they seemed to switch off their server and that the Chinese press reported that SnailGame "Beijing office" went bankrupt. Are they all waiting for the end of THE lawsuit? Gosh, patience is a great virtue, but it remains quite a pathetic excuse when you know they did their best at delaying and delaying and delaying the case(s). |

Hehe, I was wondering where you had been Zorvan...seems like those DF fans nailed you again. I expected you to have an alt somewhere (you must be prepared after all of your other bans). I should have recognized your sense of humor sooner... __________________________________________________ |

Just want to point out to Dwerk that it is actually very important for the MMORPG community that Farlan loses the court battle. (And learn to punctuate Dwerk. The paragraph is a wonderful invention). Legal punishment has a major purpose - to deter others. When the next shady developer thinks they can get away creating some shoddy piece of junk, hype and lie about how great it is all while using someone else's technology then the Farlan case will be an important lesson. It's not just a lesson to future developesr, however, it's also a lesson to all those gullible fanbois who swallowed all the clueless hype. Next time listen and if a developer sounds like a used car salesman, remember Farlan. |

I cant believe what this game has finally done to us. It has got us comparing one pile of crap with another pile of crap.
Damn we are in BIG BIG trouble |

I was DnL back in closed beta, when pix was still on the team, and i can say that just from what 'I' saw ingame, meaning the updates, changes, bug fixes, etc that happened while he was working with them, the game was moving at a decent rate.
Then we found out that pix was fired, or left(not exactly sure what happened after this point) and the updates just pretty much stopped. Sure there was a little of this and that added/changed, but the bugs got worse and worse after each new 'addition' (And for the most part, pretty much nothing changed after this point, even after 'release')
I got banned a few times from the forums for stating this simple fact... that something had to change, that they had to do 'something' other than sell a broken/unfinished product. People still paid, and people were ripped off.
Sorry, but the basic truth is, Pix laid down a great foundation for a game to be built upon, then once they thought he had done what they needed, they basicly tried to remove him from the picture.
Sorry to anyone out there who plays DnL, but you are only supporting those who are doing wrong. I would love to see a game developed with pix's tech, and his help, but not without his permission, all DnL has going for it thats 'unique' is what pix has done, the rest of the 'crap' in the game u can find in most other games, and it's all done MUCH better there.
Pix, please work with someone in the future and give us a game that we all want. And good luck and grats. You deserve compensation for the work u have done. My Computer specs: OS: Win xp pro, fully upgraded. |

I am a bit surprised to see this still going on after all this time. I was a bit bored tonight and figured it was time to browse all the old stomping grounds and see what was going on. Nice to see the old names still around and still fighting the good fight. Keep it up _Pix_ and I still back you all the way man. Take care all and if anyone ever gets their cloth map drop me a PM so I can watch for mine to show up in the mail (fat chance of that ever happening) |

Update of the day: "On September 5, 2008, took place the closing hearing for the defendants to file their last submissions before the judge in charge of receiving final submissions and pieces of evidence to prepare the case for trial. The defense of NPCube, Farlan and Mr Cesar Jacquet was to file its submissions in reply to the substance of the case. None was filed by the defense which yet asked the judge for another hearing to be scheduled and the date of final speeches to be postponed.
BTW no source link for today, sorry, as www.pourieux.com 's server has been out of order as from the 29th of August, 2008. |

I guess my only concern now is, _Pix_ getting his money. After all this crap he's gone through, the least he deserves is some of it, and hopefully all of it. Unfortunately with our ole buddy, Cesar Jacquet, fleeing to China I have my doubts that _Pix_ will get a chance to collect. Hopefully French law covers this though, but as long this case has taken, getting the money may take even longer. Anyway, my hopes are still high for you _Pix_ and just can't wait until the October verdict. |

MMOs require more reasoning and imagination than most stereotypically ''adult'' activities. |
I expect another delay tactic. If that's still possible. |
