Am I the only one thats confused on why this game is being made ? Its like Blizz making a fantasy-based game or SOE making another star wars theme MMO. There is already a super hero MMO with its qausi-oddball stand alone expansion CoV on the market. Why would they make another super hero MMO ? Its like making two WW2 mmo's in a row. Unless theyre shutting down CoH or making a more complex version I dont get it. |

Cryptic sold their half of CoX to NCSoft. They no longer have anything to do with the City games (though a bunch of their people who were responsible for the game moved over to the NCSoft division that continues to run CoX). Champions Online is simply a developer looking to make a new title in a rather untapped area of the MMO genre that they happen to have experience in. |

Im gessing you Dont know mutch about the game? Its being made by THE SAME PEOPLE that made COX As for Why.. Why are they making Champions? a) to make money. b) Because Cryptic believes that they can make a better superhero game then CoX. By your logic, Blizzard should never have made WoW because their were already a ton of Fantasy based MMOs already on the market. Would someone please explain to me why people think City of Heroes is the be all and end all of comic book MMORPGs??? ~nox |

... because superheroes is a niched genre, not as appealing as the high fantasy genres made famous by WOW and GW. Furthermore, All u do in CoH is fight criminals and run about in the same old city |
