well if reading such threads are going to cause such torture for you then you could possibly, you know, not read them. from the title it was quite obvious what you would be in for so complaining is kind of useless eh? i wouldnt call these people on the hate bandwagon either...more like the scammed bandwagon.

I would agree with you if the thread's subject matter was entirely personal. The problem is that it's accusing an entire company of scam, a company which I'm paying for a service too, so I couldn't just take the avoid route because, like I said, the OP sounded the alarms. And they're in the hate bandwagon. The OP went to the bank and got the issue solved. Have you done anything similar? I'm guessing not, and neither have many of those people complaining. Either they're awfully lazy, or they just want to see Funcom burn. But hey, to each his own, so I guess I'll leave you to your conspiracy theorizing. Have fun.

just because the OP's bank fixed the problem, it still doesnt excuse Funcom from causing the problem. it wouldnt be as bad if it was just a rare problem but it appears to be more widespread then we really know about. once people start checking thier CC bills then we will see more and more posts such as these. i just wish people would all go to thier banks or call the CC company more to fix this problem.

just cause it is only 15 per person doesnt mean funcom should still be making a nice profit to show investors they have more subs then they really do. they are trying to get their 3rd quarter profits up by doing this. doesnt matter that they have to pay back this money eventually but by then it will be the 4th quarter and will have thier investors duped a little while longer as they show they can maintain a steady subsciber base. mean while half of the people dont even realize thier accounts are still active. doing this is like a carrot on a stick for investors....

There is only one reason this is happening. Funcom badly need the money. If only 50% demand their money back out of 100.000 who cancelled and still got charged after... then Funcom gets 50.000*15$=750.000$ for free.

What happens if i would cancel my subscription? Does the account get frozen or do i still get to play untill my paid time is up? I removed my CC info but w8ing to cancel untill i know.

In a normal MMO you will be able to continue playing until your paid time runs out even if you cancel before. With Funcom and AoC I have no idea what will happen. Maybe they charge you for 6 months directly if you try to remove your CC. But yeah, just cancel, remove CC and you will be able to keep playing if their billing site works like it should.

Today I learned to delete cc info when I cancle an MMO.

Ill check my statment when it comes thru the post, worst case is ill eat the £10 as I cancled within time but it was on the last few days but iv deleted the cc info if I take a charge on the 21st of this month... Ill go fking crazy

lucky me only spent 49€ for the game, with the free included month, i hit 80in like 10days, and spent 20days laging crashing, getting bored, so i decided to wait for client optimization and pvp addition before i subscrib, funny thing that im still waiting.

could have wasted 30€ for nothing, not that i care about the 30€, but wont give those freaking failcom money, becuz they wasted my time, and lied to me for few years about this game.

Yes it is possible that I could have "edited" my screenshots and I can honestly say that I have no way of proving it other than giving out my account name and password so you can all check for yourselves. I'm pretty ethical so if Funcom didn't scam me, then i'll take no action despite the amount of hate threads. But they did so I decided to post. I'm only trying to warn people, you can believe me or not, it's your choice. Also, I made absolutely sure I deleted my CC info when I canceled and I still got charged, so please watch out for that too.
