Butt Kicking for Goodness!

Xbox Live isn't that bad, not barrens chat bad imo. I found my self 40 good buddies on XBL playing Gears and CoD4.  I don't think war is getting 10 million  subs, and i don't wish it to. I hope it has a healthy number that keeps the content flowing and keeps the game fresh. Only Lotro has been able to do this so far, and i hope war will to.

Maybe I'm just being too cynical towards the Live community... *shrugs*

Anyways, I also hope that WAR has enough subs to keep content flowing.  As the devs. have said, they're not trying to kill WoW or anything like that... But seeing WAR die because of lack of subs would be quite sad... Although I don't see this happening - at least I hope not.

As long as the community is not full of teammates who refuse to notice how bad using abbreviations like "wat," "2," and "4" make them look, or RvR opponents who /spit slash /laugh at you after ganging up on you with 2-3 other players, I am cool with it.

I'm no care bear, but seriously though, there is not much you can do when 2-3 people gang up on you and your caught alone, besides die, the taunting isn't necessary.

To learn how to use a sword, one must first master when to use a sword.

I don't get where people are getting the idea that WAR will be released "too early". Although I'm sure the developers would like more time- as all dedicated developers would like, WAR has been delayed multiple times. I found an old WAR poster I had and recently put it up in my room. It says "coming 2007."

Awaiting for a skill base game with consequences.

WAR will be successful and can reach  one million sub in a year if the game is top and will continue to increase  but I doubt it will be able to top 10 millions subs. With one million WAR will be more than a success and if they expand the game wisely without nerfing the low levels the game will continue to grow.

As for the bad community, there will always be some bad apples in the basket but one thing is, a lot of guilds are coordinating things to have serious opponents on their servers.I give the griefers 2 to 3 months before either leaving the game or changing server leaving solo players,small/medium guilds/Alliances and big guilds to enjoy the game.

I'm a big fan of mythic as alot of my post will probably show, but to honestly think WAR will beat out WoW in subscription numbers is crazy. I think WAR will let blizzard know that its only a matter of time before their cashcow is dead though.

There is a beta.
I am in it.

When I was at Gamesday toronto (a Games-workshop convention) Mythic was there and while waiting in line to try the game I ended up talking to one of the art directors.  He spoke of having to fight (and sneak) tenticles on the marauder, how the game is shaping up nicely, and how Blizzard approached them stating, "Your game is too much like ours."

Now the long history of intellectual theft and bad blood between Games-workshop and blizzard aside, this could mean 1 thing, blizzard is scared of WAR.

WAR will never take the title from WoW, it's just a matter of fact.  It may be selling out WotLK right now, but wait til it's release date is announced, without any perks for pre ordering.  even on gamespot.com WotLK leads greatly amongst more hits then WAR.

Don't think this is me bashing WAR either, I can't freaking wait for a dev team who knows how to do open world pvp the right way.  I am absolutely pumped for WAR, WAAAGH!

Finwe on microphones in MMOs: "it'd eliminate l33t speak....But it would bring in ebonics."

Well that is because WOW is based off the Warhammer ip. Oh if WAR is going to be extremely successful they will have to win over the Asian market which I really do not see happening.

I kinda doubt that.  They are not aiming for the same group, wow is a teenage friendly game while WAR is darker and seems to be aiming at a older playerbase.

Also, there is the matter of content, wow is gigantic while WAR seems to be cutting down a lot lately.

And then there is the hype, ad the risk that WAR will release to early, to me it seems like WAR is in the same state as AoC was a month before release, will Mythic really be ready or are EA for
