LMFAO. Yeh that's exactly what MOST of us here DON'T want! More of the same BS flying over the world over edited crap that makes it look like a few pre-programmed bots playing rather then a simple, un-edited in game footage clip. Too fancy is NOT what we want to see. Most of us I think, including myself would love to see nothing more then a simple recording of actual in-game footage. If they put out some BS video again that does not show their UI (user interface) and in-game footage, then I call their video bullshit. Period. Is it really so hard to log into their game world, which Tasos has already told us is working "flawlessly" with all their promised features implemented, and hit a function button with a video recording program like fraps and record some footage??? They don't need months and months and months to simply record some in game footage for 5 or 10 minutes. It's ridiculous they they can't give us that and have already said it's all working with all the features and junk. Damn. - Zaxx

CORRECTION: "Like they've NEVER done." They have yet to use any actual gameplay footage. I know, I know. I've seen the little clips inside of larger videos of what looks to be behind an avatar with the screen flashing red and all. I don't buy that was actual in game footage taken from a players perspective for one second though. No health bar? NO UI at all? Bullshit. They have NEVER used any actual gameplay footage that I have seen, and I'm pretty sure I've seen all their BS videos.

they have actully you just like making up crap saying it wasnt actual ingame footage. when it was all ingame footage.. they dont pre render anything. because if they did it would look like how AOc had there seige vid it was faked well edited to look good. there to many flaws in there vids they put out to be some not ing ame footage. esspiccly the combat ones. liek the aminations needed work and stuff. if it was faked it would have looked way better |

I just don't understand why all of you people make such a big deal. I mean, its just a video. I'd much rather have them working on a game than to see a video of it. This game seems like a great idea and hopefully it would be worth the time it took to make, but if its never released whats the big deal? Everyone who keeps posting thing after thing about how this game is or isn't going to happen really needs to take a step back and realize how much effort they are putting into arguing over a game. If its released and its good, thats great. If its never release, well, you never played it or put money into so why does it matter? Would you rather have a game where you don't see tons of videos and hear all that much about it or would you rather have a game like Age of Conan? |

Seriously why do people keep posting this? The UI is clearly visible on the 2005 alpha video (it's even a cam of someone playing it...). the UI is clearly visible on the 2006 game play video. it's a minimal UI people, wake up... you want to see bags of stuff (god knows why...)? ok it's here. duh. oh and all 6 darkfall videos are in-game footage. |

I agree, it's high time they started putting out more videos/screenshots. Or maybe the August one will be so amazing it'll be enough, who knows. Point is though, pretty much everything they said they would show, they have shown, or are showing soon. |

I fail to understand why people think that making a game and making a decent video are mutually exclusive to the point where they have to significantly sacrifice one for the other. It's not a movie, they don't have to collect hours of footage to then edit it together into a cohesive mesh, not if the game is feature complete and working smoothly anyway. Case in point, this video: Showcases a lot of the features of the game and consequently proves there's at least something to play, and the game wasn't even feature complete back then. Total preparation time for a video like this? About the time it takes to fetch a camera and go to a computer with the game installed, which I'd assume there are many of at the Aventurine offices. The footage is gameplay from the game they were already making and testing anyway, so that was there regardless of a video and needed no preparation. No need to touch up or edit or use special effect transitions or be extremely selective on the footage used, not if they're confident in their game and its quality 4 months (at most) before launch. |
