WoW needs more cities and have them more spread out more. Most cities are litterlery right next to each other. And the ouland has none!

From an Alliance perspective, Kalimdor is a pain. Darnassus is so far out in the middle of nowhere that if you actually want to go anywhere on that continent, most people just port to Ironforge, fly to Menethil, and boat over to Theramore. From there they have better access to the continent. As for Lordaeron, Stormwind and Ironforge are a little close to each other. I think Ironforge could do well just a bit further north. It's the same situation for the Horde side, just reversed. Kalimdor is nearly perfect for Horde, whereas Undercity is just way out there in the middle of nowhere.
Now what about Exodar and Silvermoon? They are both really close to major city, and both a part of their own subzone (not connected officially to the continent itself as you have to zone to get to them). I think the expansion areas could have been spaced out just a bit more.
As for Outland, what are you wanting? I think Shatt is enough, as it serves its purpose and Outland is so small anyway, travel is not an issue. Of course the reason why Shatt doesn't have an auction house (if that is what you were worried about) is because Blizzard didn't want to alienate the old world, and wanted to give high level players a reason to go back. This both keeps Azeroth populated as well as reduces lag in Outland. |

I can see how the idea of new cities is exciting. However, the quests and new class creation that would be involved would be a lot of work and time for the creators. I wouldn't doubt if this is already in the plans for the production team of WoW though. |
