Ok so I been having a great time playing Lotro and been working on the Hunter class (level 21). I like the class alot but alot of times I find myself gaining too much threat even from simple attacks such as barbed arrow. I know later on you get endurance stance to reduce the threat and I also use a bow that reduces threat as well. Anyone have any further helpful tips so I don't keep on aggroing every mob just from simple attacks ?

Not much.  What you said about the Endurance Stance and less threat from the bow is good to have in Fellowship play.  But the best thing I found when in grp is to start off slow with basic/standard attacks until your tank has established aggro or you have the beastie down to about 50% moral, then unleash on them.  Best advice I can give ya.

But stick with the Hunter because later on you'll love the ability to port to just about every major location in the game as well as a particular "camp site" of your choosing.

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of Elderberries.

If you're in a group usually the Tank will tell you if its okay to use Strenght Stance, if not just avoid doing any "heavy" dps at the beginning of the fight and let your Tank grab some aggro first.

Unfortunately that is the way it is when you have a high DPS class in a group situation.  Barbed arrow not only does some nice damage, but it also extends a DOT, it makes the target bleed for a period of time.

Aggro management has always been a topic of discussion with our kinship groups, in knowing when you should use your arrow skills versus backing off and letting the tank keep the mob hate.

There have been plenty of times when our kins hunter pulls the mob from the tank, and I have to do an immediate 360 to put my healing efforts on them, but a good team will recognize when this happens and attempt to compensate within the group to return the hate to the tank.

Time and practice is all that's needed, and best of luck to you with your hunter.  Welcome to Eriador!

I play a guard and the wife plays a hunter. In early levels she pulled hate off me literally doing nothing :) Now in later levels with traits in there, generating threat etc she has a hard time doing so.

Never heard of it. The only thing I know that a scholar can make is Fire Oil and the only consumable that reduces threat that I know of and Lutes of Subtlety for Minstrels.

Scholars can make three scrolls for hunters. im carrying around stacks of two of them.  One, callled "whisper draw" if i remember right, further reduces threat.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
