I play with people who dual box right now, they are couples with two accounts and two computers, when the spouse is away one of them logs in with their alt on the spouse's computer... Other people have spouses that don't play, but have another computer... Ect. It's not black and white. If they want to pay two subs yes it's their choice. But do think that most dual boxers aren't going out to buy two systems for one game.. lol I can see a few crazy peeps do that but it's not going to be the majority. If I wanted I could dual box pretty easily, my husband's computer is right beside mine.. I'd be wayyy to damn lazy to do that though.. lawl. (,,,)=^__^=(,,,)Game Latte Vidcast |

No it just means he really enjoys the game and has a nice job to allow for 2 pc's ( or laptops ) to be purchased to two-box. In the end MMO's are a hobby and some people like to spend money on their hobby. Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2. Game(s) I Am Currently Playing: GW2 (+LoL and BF3) |

I am planning on dual-boxing this game but I'm not quite sure what to expect. It doesn't seem like a combat system that I can just sit back and auto attack something so I am guessing I won't be using my chanter much for buffs. Instead I plan on using it for crafting, gathering resources, AH camping and getting ToD's and whatnot. Also, its been mention quite a few times in this thread that the Chanter's mantra will be the biggest use of dual-boxing. Each character will be able to have two mantra's per chanter for up to four mantras per character if you had two chanters present. Tri-boxing anyone?

Well, I don't like dual boxers, but I have dual boxed and triple boxed in EQ. What happens in PVP or when someone steals a camp is that you become extremely vulnerable. I have noticed many times that boxers are more protective of their camps and will not advertise where they are and try to keep it quiet. As a boxers you can't react to PVP and your other toon will be dead in a split second if you get attacked. If boxers really mess up the game I will have funn PVP'ing their butts when I see them =). |

Do you even hear howe wrong it sound then you reading it what you have wrote "Well, I don´t like dual boxers but i have dual boxed and triple boxed in EQ. And then it comes to pvp do you even know something about it do you really think that player just gona stand there and die i dont think so. I like to dual box and then some one try to kill my mine or my buff biatch well 99% of the time i kill them and that is on L2 Glad lvl78 and a Se lvl76.All depends ho it is sitting behind that keyboard. But whit a good party that is even more fun. |

Well I understand what you are writing but I think if I am going to make myself vulnerable to a PvP attack by have two characters at once, that is my own disadvantage, not anyone else's and certainly not my attackers. Although, I am failing to see how dual-boxing would give anyone a disadvantage in PvP. At the very least I could forget my 2nd character and fight soley with my 1st, I would be no better or worse off than if I had one character. If anything it seems like it would give me an advantage since it would give me more time to fight my attackers if they were to take the time to attack a non-responsive character. I am not trying to flame here, I just don't quite understand how dual-boxing makes people worse @ pvp? I could understand if it was arena PvP but i seriously doubt most sane people would take two characters into arena PvP.

Multi Boxing is interesting because doing an instance in WoW with 4 accounts is easier than with 5 individuals. I think it's because all my other 3 accounts had to do was /assist Piggy /cast Frostbolt/Starfire/Lightning bolt. People have too much pride to just sit back and spam the /assist Piggy /cast Frostbolt button for 2 hours while one other person leads them around.
