If the trend continues it looks like AoC will be dropping below Eve in the coming week with LoTR coming up soon after that. Looks like AoC loss in the last week has been greater then previous weeks. Really gotta wonder where this game will stabilize. Anyone want to make some guestimates? I'm gonna say 4000 hours per week which will put it at the same level as SWG.... Anyone else want to guess? |

Today I logged into Diablo 2 and notices that there was more people playing that, then Age of Conan. Currently Age of Conan is #20 on Xfire while Diablo 2 is #14 (still clambing). But the think that made me worrying is that on Blizzard battlenet you can a clean number on how many people there is playing. Right now there is about 52071 playing Diablo 2 on battlenet. So that would mean there is a lot less playing Age of Conan

this thing is almost like clockwork another 13% decrease from Friday the 25th to Friday the 1st from 19211 to 16859. In contrast LoTRO had about a 9% increase during the same time period. To be fair though I would guess LoTRO's increase had something to do with this years Summer Festival starting yesterday and the live events that accompany the festivals. Anyway, at this rate I predict Eve will pass AoC in the next couple of weeks and by September AoC will be well below 10K on weekdays and maybe even on weekends. Bringing back tits won't be enough to save em now. |

Some AoC players might go on vacation, but there is also thoses there play 24/7 when they are Industri holiday. With the current crisis in US, I don't that many are going on vacation this year. its better too save the money. So xfire should be high peak now because of the increased playtime.

Umm they still hold the number two spot for MMOs by 70%. Nowhere near WoW numbers but nearly twice the nearest competitor. I'm waiting for the content patch to return but AoC numbers are great, Funcom has nothing to worry about. |

It's amazing that you're mentioning it as if you're proud of it. An MMO with massive hype before and shortly after release dropping to 15-20 in only two months is LAUGHABLE. |

Funcom Failed but... You're right, Age of Conan was a great game! I loved it to death. I got to level 80 in 13 days, these was plenty of content: crafting, guild cities, PvP, and PvP mini, raiding, dungeons. Then I realized, on the 20th day, Age of Conan will never be a great game. I mean WoW listened to their customers and the game turned out great. SWG didn't and they flopped. Funcom would never honestly say, "The customer is always right" So I quit, I know EA Mythic and Warhammer are concerned for their customers, and I don't care how greedy they are, that's why we're paying you. To be nice. |

The thing is that AoC's figures get substantially boosted over weekends, unlike other mmorpg's like WoW, Silkroad and Guild Wars which are mostly stable through the week. Of course both EVE Online and Lotro also get substantial weekend boosts, but their figures are stable and are not trending downward like AoC's (though nose-diving might be more a more appropriate term considering that GW, once lower than AoC, now has twice the gaming hour figures of AoC) ![]() |

It always does this on the weekends after a patch...but if you notice...each time it drops further and climbs less. That means fewer and fewer are playing it each time a patch is made. :p ![]() |

The xfire numbers do the same general thing every week they are just trending lower. They go down during the weekdays and pop up on the weekends. Looking at one single day doesn't tell you anything as it very much matters which day you look at, a weekday or weekend. |

9% drop from july 26 to aug 02 , Aug 03 should be about 21, 000 plus or minus 500 if the trend holds steady and Aug 04 numbers should be low 17's or high 16's. |
