So WotLK is indeed a new MMORPG expansion with very much new and exciting elements, that are ... NEW.

 

This was all said when BC was coming out. About all the new content all the new quests and you know what... it was all the same stuff just with different textures and 40 man raids went to 25 man raids.

Maybe you're right Vicksburg. Maybe this is WoW's SWG NGE but If anyone has been paying attention to MMORPG histroy, knows how much of a blunder that was for SOE.

TO everyone else. Wouldn't it be hilarious if this is what blizzard is doing. That its revampign the game for pvp focus. sort of like what SWG did with NGE and crashed and burned. THis will be a sight to see.

This thread is startign to be funny, some people actually beleive that wow will have a complex pvp system.

You cant make a pvp game out of a game that was built around pve and then slap on a pvp mode. Class balance is a word that cannot e employed when talking about wow. Sure when fighting in groups class balance is less important but still some classes are jokes.

Well I for one am excited about the new lighting engine.... Is the water different in the begining?  It may be that its just low quality and I cant really make it out. I do wish they would done more of a graphics upgrade than that, but oh well.   Ive played a lot of MMO's and I just havent found one I liked as much as FFXI until I started playing WoW.  

This game is popular but its not for everyone, so the people that don't like the game thats cool by me everyone has personal preferences.

After playing AoC for 2 months i really miss WoW.

1. All games are grindfest you grind for XP, loot, quest items etc..
2. what MMO is contant, and WoW is as massive as it gets.
3. I love gear rewards.
4.you have it wrong on 4. upgrades are and addition to the content.

im glad its not PVP centric i hate PVP.

Well ill use the old WAR excuse "its beta" also we dont know what level of shadows hes using 1-6 (blizzard have told us 5-6 are not optimised) we also dont know what rig hes running.

And no WAR cannot do that.. certainly not in beta and have yet to see videos of world dynamic shadows.

If I want siege warfare, I'll go back to DAoC.  Still has the best pvp system I ever played.  Not perfect, but better than anything else out right now.  Relic raids were always fun especially since everyone would turn out to defend.  The theory was even though lowbies couldn't directly do much vs the 50's they may lag out those attackers with slower systems.

I agree thought that WoW pvp has no impact on the world as a whole.  It's just another way to grind for gear.  World of Grindcraft established Jan 2006.

3. If you love gear rewards and continuous gear grinding only then WoW is for you.

If you're a PvE grinder then yeah WoW is probably for you.

weather its a fast grind or a slow one all games have a "grind"

lol... Thank you for reminding me why I stopped and why I should never go back. I played a rogue in WoW but even so, there's no way of denying that they've taken rogues way to far with that. 20 secs of stun, or better yet, 3 or 4 ambushes within 10 seconds... no thanks, I'd rather have a challenge.
