I just wanted to let you all know this. I know it's quite shocking and interesting but it's a fact, there are girls in MMO. Now, don't be afraid to approach them. When you meet one online this is a common reaction to have:
Although you can recognize them by their pink avatar that says G.I.R.L, this is what they look like:

Lets face it, MMOs today are turning into single player console games with a chat box included. |

An interesting topic
I love chatting to Ladies during games ,I find they have a different perspective most of the time to men. Many of the ladies I know make their characters look cool and funky ....you can see it’s a women who knows about fashion sense behind the design .Also The funny thing is when I once posted the fact on one of the official forums of the one of games I play that “ I like talking to ladies “...I received quite a lot of criticism .People were implying I was “ a little lecherous ...and how do you know a girl is actually a girl in RL “
I replied “ I know it may be a man behind the keyboard but that doesn’t mean I don’t like chatting to women “...it’s not going to put me off :)

@ Arcken shame dude ,you are obviously not a very interesting person to talk to ,You say that your experience is only over 30's women offer worthwhile chats ? Well I have several ICQ addresses of women I met in online games that I chat to regularly, many of them are under 30 .I also have several guys I chat to .No I'm not suggesting I'm a stud...I just find it easy to talk to women and you can have sustainable friendships with them . Its actually really easy to talk to women in Online games ...easier than RL as you have something in common automatically ...the game . And no " I don't consider it a great accolade to be online ladies man..considering the fact it's a virtual title and lacks real substance " Later Gator "after the time of dice came the day of mice " |

Yes we play mmos too, we also own xbox 360's, ps3's and wii. It is funny how all the little boys in dresses running around these days have given us a bad reputation so that when guys actually meet real girls they can't believe it. I would also like to say that there are healthy, athletic, active women with real lives playing these games and that we do not have to be lazy fat slobs to enjoy games. Quit stereotyping us! |

Google "MMORPGMaker" if you want to make your own MMORPG. |

No offense to the ladies that play MMORPGs, but IMO the actual numbers are so small as to be inconsequential. I think you could design an MMO that would get large numbers of female players, but it would not be something I'd want to play. I like to see male and female avatars running around the landscape, because it makes for a more visually interesting game, but I don't really care what your actual gender is behind the avatar. I want you to not be an asshat, have something interesting to say if you want to chat or at least be polite, and do your job so the party doesn't get wiped. If you do that, I don't care if you're 16, or 60, male or female. |

I've played plenty of times with female gamers before. Half the time they're better PvPers than men (but not myself, of course) __________________________________________________ |

I met this really cool girl in FFXI, but she lived in London and had a BF but other than that she was hella cool...... I tend to be a bit weary when I see girl avatars, cuz most likely they are a guy. But It would be nice to finda gf playing MMO's, cuz every other normal girl gets jelouse of my computer. lol got to love nerdy girls. |

There again stereotyping what women want in a game that makes it something you would not want to play. Most women I know that play like hardcore pvp and are very good at it. We are guild leaders, war leaders and excellent pkrs. So unless you just like sissy boy noncombat games only you might have more in common with female gamers than you want to imagine. |
