Lord of the Rings Online

With all the great features of Book 14 , there has been a snag. Some very poor performance server side as well as some other things that just seem to be borked has made it's way into the game. Servers are down right now and Turbine is sweating to get everything corrected before the weekend.

This is the first major bugged patch to sift through and it will interesting to see how this plays out...

Right now there is

Rubber banding

ivisible walls

AH errors

Mail errors

just to name a few.

I have complete faith in turbine to crush the bugs and gets back up to operational status like the past year and half , this is truly the first makor test..

I'm a little shocked at how bad the rubber-banding is. I made a new character last night and in a lot of places in the beginner's area I couldn't move at all due to the rubber banding. Very frustrating and had to give up.

Hope that doesn't scare a lot of people away.

I had that probelm the last couple of nights, but I just relogged and it was fine. Im on Brandywine US.

So is that why they are down right now? I thoguht this was fixed a few days ago after the patch.... Did it hang over?

They brought down the servers this afternoon for a few hours and just did an emergancy shut down, It was bad , But they gave us notice this afternoon and about a 10 minute notice this evening

Emergency patch with absolutely no information as to what is being fixed.

Now the main site forums are almost as bad as the game servers.

Relax and go outside.   Don't worry Middle Earth will return soon enough.  

Yeah this update seems like the most buggy one so far. I mean there have been at least 3 reboots on my server since it went live. I have faith they will get it worked out soon.

The problem isn't the patch it is the amount of people that returned. Our server is flowing at the seams and that is why we are getting blocked out of areas. Mail, AH, and etc. is the same reason, the population is stressing the server to go kaput.

The emergency maintenance they will probably be playing around with server variables for a while to find the best optimized option with all the people. It's crazy the amount of people running around I haven't seen anything like it since around launch time!

hehe yeah watching Olivia's cleavage is better then outdoors lol , though I did get back from a bike ride.

Think the patching and hotfixes and the clear communication from Turbine is a great sign. THey aren't turning a blind eye and saying everything is fine, the honesty of this team is remarkable and honorable. Looking forwward to watching this play out....
