All watch that video.

Wind up to 1 minute 10 seconds (until the wiz starts running up the stairs.)

It is about a 25 step stair and he does this in just a 2 step run "floating over it".

Clear isn't it ?

So you would rather him take ten secs to walk on each and every step just because it would look more relaistic? Sorry but i wouldnt be playing WAR so i could get the best and most accurate Stair walking simulator on the market, no i'd like to think i could walk up and down stairs FAST rather than going into an stair walking animation loop as you seem to want so much.

Wow does excaly the same thing, you know why? because it doesnt break the flow of traveling.

I know what I am talking about.

A character that flows up a 25 step stairs in two steps is "floating"' movement and is NOT polished at all.

It is called uneasy control btw.

I just compared it with some stairs in SW: the avatar there takes exaclty the same number of steps as there are stairs in Stormwind Keep.

His steps even come out  exactly.

there are 25 steps and he is on top in just 2.5 passes.

I am not lying everyone can control it.

I look at the video footage for 1 year now and the only thing being added are the lightning effects since about 4 months.

... Bottomline, graphics really don't matter that much if the gameplay is great.

Exactamundo!

I will take gameplay over graphics anyday. I still play M.U.L.E. (http://www.smithore.com/mule.php) if anyone can remember that old EA game for the Atari 800 / Commodore 64. Yeah, I know that game is over 20 years old. But it was very addiciting gameplay (this may not be the best example, but I think you folks are get what I am saying)..

Wow ........ M.U.L.E.  I loved that game.  Playing on my Commodore 64 with an old TV as my monitor.  I thought that link was to a windows version of the game.  : (

Certainly brings back some memories.

On to the thread topic.  Yes, game play is more important than graphics.  But, I have a difficult time getting into a game that has bad graphics/art style.  This of course is personal opinion but would be the exact reason I can't play WoW.  I have tried on several occasions and can't get past the art style.  Played with friends (that are still quite Wowified I might add).  Played solo and tried it with my son (He can't play it either, for the same reason.)

Meh ........ time will tell.   I hope I can get past the fact that every time I see a video of this game "WoW" pops into my head.  It doesn't just pop into my head it smacks me in the forehead.  I find myself making wrinkled up nose faces at some sort of sub conscious level.

Preacher Vick is going around spreading poison and lies as always. There is very little information around the last builds (leaks etc) for non-beta testers to see.  Animations have improved alot in the last 3 months - Mythic did exactly what they said they would do; use placeholders and slowly replace them. Within the next two weeks high resolution textures and a few more light maps will be introduced.

Recent beta combat at Rank10 (so not many abilities yet) - ~medium graphical settings without alot of the light maps and without alot of the animation polish (looks darn good if you ask me - also knowing that the real big push comes within the next two weeks):
