Tasos showed up to that Greek game developers conference with a recorded video that was 1 year old and another fly by video showing some buildings that was a few months old.

Why didn't he just show up with the game client and a PC and login to the game world from there??

Same reason he "forgot" it the one and only time he went to E3, perhaps?

He could if Darkfall actually existed outside of some developers fairytale dream world.

Unfortunately it does not... so he couldn't....

He already got a standing ovation for his presentation as it was.  No doubt playing the actual game would have caused a serious uproar.  Tasos did not want to have the local riot police called in, so he decided not to demo the actual game.  He is wise.

They have a game world they've probably completed but no telling how big is actually is.

And they have some videos they've programmed bots to do exactly what they want to show inside their virtual world.  (It's very easy to see that no players are actually playing, even in the videos where they want us to think so)

Why would Tasos bring a broken/unfinished/very buggy or non-existent game client with him?

When that new vid comes your goign to say its all bots 2 Wow. can you provide proof of it ?

Are you folks all that gullable or niave? Ther eis no Darkfall I don't care how many videos he shows next month.  This game is not happening.

Almost everybody (apparently not everybody though) knows it's easier to prove it's a few bots then it is to prove the vid was taken on a live server ;-)

So the better question is: can you provide proof they aren't a few bots?  I can do everything they've shown in Torque too... that doesn't make my game a MMO.

That's very funny, especially considering the game has a publisher and that people have actually played versions of the game. Oh but, you don't believe that. Asp going is just one big conspiracy, along with Women's Gamers and TenTon Hammer.
