CCP is warning players of a recent rash of hacked accounts which have been traced back to an ISK selling site.

Offgamers warning!

We have had a number of cases recently with hacked accounts and similar issues and we have found that a lot of them are directly connected to a certain website. This website sells ISK and supposedly EVE Time Codes (ETCs), though the ETCs always turn out to be faulty or already used.

hmm i wonder if this has anything to do with cutting into the devs pockets of the isk sites they run? i would be pissed too and want to lay some type of assault against the isk sites too. best way to scare people away......--throws on tinfoil hat and whisltes---

Huh?  I don't have a clue what you are rambling about, but it is common knowledge that several of these isk sites that spam in Eve are well known trojan installers.   Most of these sites are in china and untouchable,  

It has nothing to do with the approved sites that sell GTC's, the developers DON'T sell isk.

Trying to buy isk from these sites is just dumb, trying to save a few bucks and instead lose your account, especially when buying GTC's is not that much more expensive.

I wonder why this is even an issue....I mean no one would be buying ISK would they?

Why on earth are they warning those who visit isk selling sites to buy isk? People who do RMT in MMO's for ingame currency are the cancer of MMO's.Don't warn them! leave them to get screwed over, they deserve it!

There are lot of isk sellers, some very famous. It is not kind of    you are waiting for if you are talking in your language channel. Most of them get blocked away or petitioned in. But some use just an other letter in alphabet and there we go again. After while you do not even pay attention too it anymore. like commercials in talkshow that you zap away. 

It is a disease where no cure for found is yet.

Al those people have trial accounts. Al those people  need to be   on there IP adress. But even then they could do it in an internetcafe.

While I agree with you that the people doing this should be punished, allowing that punishment to come from the ISK-sellers only strengthens their business, as they now have more ISK and accounts to sell legitimately on top of the money they made off the guy they ripped off. That's not what I'd call justice.

I have no sympathy for anyone who conducts RMT business. Serves them right.

I've been using offgamers for years and have never encountered such issues. I think this is some underhand tactics employed by CCP to smear offgamers' name. There are so many 'legit' scammers making money from EVE online and they can't do shit about it and they probably needed a scapegoat to cover their inadequecies ....

I hope offgamers get some lawyers and sue CCP for defamation or something, now that will be a show worth watching

This is a problem with lack of security and not ISK buying.

ISK buying in itself does not compromise your account.
