I can only say wtf and shake my head, it is not like i can afford a home at 30k a year before taxes without a pay raise for the last 12 years.
Why do my tax dollars have to pay for this shit, let the system crash. I will still be poor. Either way.

Ask a question and you are stupid for 30 seconds, never ask and you are stupid for life.

heck, my dad has a great job (computer programmer) and still can't afford any house today...not in southern california and many other states (if not all of them). How is ANYONE going to afford a house? Most people get a lot less than my dad, so how is anyone affording these houses? I can see extremely rich people affording them, but they make up a WAY less percentage and almost all the houses won't be bought except by the extremely rich or the foolish that gets a loan and then can't pay it off.

I'm so sick of these government bailouts. It's supposed to be a free market yet it's okay for the feds to decide which businesses they want and which they will put under.

If you have 5 dying men and you choose 2 to live, who's responsible for the other 3? It's not the fed's right to choose which non-government businesses to clean up after and which to ignore. Remove the fucking federal reserve and let dumbass corporation go under if they screw up.

A good game needs no defending. A bad game needs no forums.

Here's a proper government answer to this financial system-induced problem:

1)  Freeze all varibale mortgage rates at the lowest rate they were at in January 2008.  (i.e., no one's rate goes up).  Do this by law; by an act of Congress.

2)  When financial institutions fail, they just get taken over by new management, and continute to exist with the same assets.  So,,,,,, let them fail.

I'm tired of the little guy getting hosed by unscrupulous lenders.  Sure, borrowers knew their rate might fluctuate up and down slightly, but no one expected an $1,100 monthly mortgage payment to go over $3,000.  If someone was consistently paying their bill of the $1,100, in this example, then best to let them keep on paying.  The lending institutions are forcing this failure with their own stupidity.

It is truly a scary time I'm afraid.

after reading this article and seeing so many of the factories around here close (me being an hourly worker as well), it gives me and my family alot to think about.....

read the "talkback" responses as well. I personally as a middleclass worker am worried as well.
