As the title says, I'm looking for a good MMORPG that doesn't have a ridiculous amount of hackers. A few don't bother me, as long as there aren't like open hacking forums for the game where noobs can download anything they want.

It would also be nice if there were no/small amount of gold sellers.

To each his own.

Most P2Ps have a large amount of gold ads, which you can ignore, and rarely any hackers, to get away from gold sellers, you have to play a game with no currency :P

I've played games with almost no gold sellers, such as ROSE.

if a game have an economy system, and enough populair, you will find farmers in it.

just look for a crap game that no one plays.

Dream of Mirrors Online (DOMO) has virtually no gold seller.  Host company's aggressive ads and promos simply overwhelm any gold seller's attempt to enter its market.   Community is also working closely with GS and GM's to prevent hacking.  It's a pve-centric MMO and worth a try.

City of Heroes/Villains would be your best choice, OP. The game has no hackers and minimal gold sellers. And the great thing about the gold sellers is how the game developers have responded to them. Any in-game email from them is erased and reported by the click of a button. You can also click people's names in the chat box and ignore them from there. But there no gold sellers EVER speak in the chat. You will just randomly get an email every now and then.

So try City of Heroes. It is, without a doubt, the best mmorpg out there.

City of Heroes/Villains veteran.

This.

Just search for less popular games or those that don't have lots of grind involved.

I suggest Guild Wars if you don't mind the instancing and loves pvp/storyline , there are some gold sellers but gold doesnt matter that much in this game.
