I am looking to get a new FPS game. However, would rather buy something that has a high population of players most of the time.

I currently am playing BF2. It's great but I dunno looking for another one to get into. I have played PlanetSide and really liked it but the population wasn't that great.

 

Any suggestions?

That is... pretty much it as far as I know, sadly.

You should know that the Ubisoft/Red Storm team is gearing for a tactical shooter MMO. No announcements except that the finances have been allocated. Nobody knows if it will be Tom Clancy, like Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell.. its a mystery. Would be better off with a clean slate imho. A persistent world, tactical shooter is long overdue.

Oh, you might want to check out Project Reality Mod for BF2, that will jolt some life into it. There are always people playing it. It has a pretty consistent community.
