...the story would be what, exactly? That movie is about one battle... Classes....? Soldier, Soldier, Soldier and Soldier? There is no way to translate such a shallow plot into a MMO - let alone the RPG part. |

This easily could be the worst possible idea / world to use in MMORPG. It failed in movie, it would fail in game. |

You don't need to take the literal story, in the background(you don't see much) you have a nice amount of politics and territory control. For a nice MMO that a good sized number would want to play you don't need much more than character advancement, and territory control. Which fits nicely with the 300 theme, even though it would just be cheaper to drop that licensing. |

I'd much rather have a Greek or Roman MMO where the mythology came alive, kind of like Titan Quest but you'd be in a war. 300 was only a movie, a good movie, but still a movie, and would make a terrible MMO. |
