I just got to level 30 as a barbarian. I have grouped a few times and it was fun. However I solo'd most of the way to 30. It seems AoC will offer solo questers a great time. So far I have never played an mmo with so many quests not even EQ2.

I really love the fact there are quest everywhere in AoC. You will find quest givers out in the wild and all over the cities. The quest offer the usual kill x, deliver y, etc. but they are really fun. So far I have pretty much just gathered items and quested. Now this may seem shallow for an mmo but the quests are diverse so it seems very fresh. So is AoC a  questers dream game? So far I would have to say yes in my experience.

Jesus Christ is Lord.

Hehe I'll have to agree with you on that. If I wasn't complaining about everything else there is to complain about in the game, I was most definitely questing lol.

It starts to dry up around the mid 50s-60 I hear, in august however there are plans to add a new lvl 50+ zone and a few new dungeons . SO I'll probably wait until then to resub and give it another shot. Got my highest character to 36 before canceling hopefully by then I'll have something to keep me occupied into the 60's  . haven't been in a rush to hit 80 because of the state of end game content/PVP.

Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his brother.

Never ran out of quests, came to 3 left higher up levels in the log but thats it and they were not the repeatable ones.

Playing: Age of Conan, Kings Bounty: The Legend, Crysis Wars
Watching: Doctor Who S4, Stargate Atlantis S5

The more laws, the less justice

I quit at lv 49, complete and utter grind, all the quests make you grind...I'd say quit now unless you want to get to lv 80 and wait some time before it gets good...I mean, when I reached lv 48 I was like, I'm gonna reach lv 50 this week! I reached 49 that day but all the quests I did was kill like 20 wolverines, 5 other people and 6 others, then I had other quests that made me kill stuff, also I just cant stand the no voice actors...now I know why in beta you couldnt get over lv 20....

Game hopping since 2003.

Have you played WoW? Im not trolling just looking for a comparison. EQ2 has a lot of quests but have they no direction, WoW has a very exact system where for the first 60 lvls you have to do every quest you see in a precise order :) Where does AoC fall? You have figure out which quests are worth doing then drop the rest? Are there any 1-80 guides?

Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear!

AoC has alot of quests, okay, so it takes the cake for that. But as far as storyline goes, LoTRO is the winner, not only because the IP is popular but you can actually follow in the Fellowship's footsteps. Both games have the normal kill or collection quests, just one has quantity and the other has quantity and (in my opinion) more quality.

Did you grind in between quests ? That's what I was doing ,hoping it would preserve them for the later levels.

you mean the 100k boars I killed in LotRO? And the content which dried out at level 40?

Sorry but questwise AoC is far better.

And just for the records since I was called a Zealot lately .. I also like LotR and still have an active subscription. The game just had the same problems ...
