The folks at Fallen Earth have granted fans a glimpse of some of the vehicles that will be available in their upcoming post apocalyptic MMORPG.

In Fallen Earth, a vehicle can mean the difference between being run down by a pack of mutant dogs and actually surviving your cargo run to Trader’s Flat. In the wastelands, a vehicle isn’t just a convenience; it can be a fortress on wheels, a place to store your gear, and the fastest way out of danger. But in the wastes there is one thing a vehicle never is: cheap.

Each vehicle model has its own abilities, including fuel efficiency, type of fuel used, armor plating, cargo capacity, hit points, and weaponry. Some vehicles run on cheap and plentiful biodiesel, while other high performance vehicles require highly refined gasoline. No one vehicle does everything well, so players will have to decide what vehicles are best for them. Do you want a Tornado for its high hit points and cargo capacity, ignoring its poor fuel efficiency? Or a Wasteland Rider motorcycle, trading off cargo capacity for speed and fuel efficiency?

Players can own up to five vehicles, but may only have one in use at a time. While not in use, vehicles are stored in garages found outside many of the towns in the Grand Canyon Province. Vehicles have persistent locations, so if you leave your dune buggy in the middle of nowhere and log off it will still be out there when you log back on (likewise if you run out of fuel you’ll have to walk back to town to get more). Players can pay money to have their vehicles towed to a garage, but doing so is not cheap.

Stand up for what you believe; Even if you stand alone.

Goood stuff.  I really dig the bike concept and the first car.

Everything I have read recently about this game seems to indicate it is my ideal MMORPG. I can name 20 different things this game is supposed to have that I have always had on my "Dream MMORPG Features List". Unfortunately, I have very very very severe doubts this game will be worth playing with what appears to be very little money behind it. Roma Victor taught me that there is no such thing as a good Indie MMORPG.

Oh, and just because I like to dream, I think the 5 vehicle cap is too high. They say having a vehicle will be quite a feat(Which I think is great), but then they seem to contradict with a 5 vehicle cap. I also love how a character's vehicle plays such an important role in all the great Post-Apocalyptic movies that include them, and so being able to own 5 at once kind of steals some of the magic. However, if they are serious about vehicles staying where you left them, I suppose it isn't so bad as long as you can only recover your vehicle at the exact garage you left it at.

they are privately funded by selling their design suite and have a small team. about the only way a indie team can compete these days.

If you follow the link that was provided, you'd see the vehicles are used for combat. And comparing FE to the waste of space Neocron 1 and 2 are is a joke in itself.
