Is this the next-gen pvp in AoC, Lineage 2 and every other Korean MMO has done this. |

The original post is here: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=141082 Yeah it's not very innovative but it can be fun. It's kind of like SWG's overt system with L2's PvP system. |

Kind of late to the game are they not? But, it does sound good. I read it is slated for the 30th patch. This weeks patch is a good one "Memory Leaks fixed" Woot (yea, thats all on the list so far, but that is good...) |

Somehow I knew in hell there would be mushrooms. |
Wow... it's like they took the design from straight out of oldschool UO and put in levels and gear. |

Wow, how lame. So if you gank, and hit the max number of points, you'd have to wait 1750 hours to be able to enter town, trade, or anything else? So, you'd need to wait 72 days of not dying to walk away scot-free. The PvP system sounds like they just took Battlegrounds Exp from WoW, and instead of confining it to mini-games and a zone, they made it global. I personally don't care much for this system at all. I've always believed ganking is a part of PvP, but I guess Funcom doesn't agree. Oh well.

The noteriety system being implemented on a pvp server is the worst idea failcom has had yet. There are countless ways to abuse such a system but the simplest is the apprentice system. Especially in Kheshetta where 50s apped up to mid 70s is commonplace and as of right now there is no way to tell what level they actually are. This noteriety system is not needed, not wanted, and will ruin the game for many many people. GG failcom way to not fix bugs or add worthwhile content and instead focus on something that will destroy the only fun thing about your game the world pvp. |

They should at the very least offer a city where criminals can go, like a pirate or thieves town. I'm also sure you'll have the option to go to your guild city, if not that would be pretty dumb. |

Have to agree, sounds way too exploitive to me. Hell, on a PvP server this will probably be even worse. PvE its alright, but for PvP? I thought this world was supposed to be brutal and gritty, how can any player be an 'innocent'? They just throwing a carebear aspect in, which wont do much to protect them. And forcing who-ever parties with a murder unknowingly to become a criminal is outrageous. At least in WoW, and some other games, if you party up with someone marked for PvP, you arent forced into it, its until you do something to benefit that person that you are marked, which is how this system should be if they are going to do that. And honestly, I dont think anyone on PvP is going to become a murderer, I'm sure everyone there is gonna be a criminal sooner or later, so the Murderer rank is just useless. Besides, you'd think attaining Murderer, as hard as it is, would be an accomplishment, not a bad thing, in this world. Eh whatever, just another reason not to get the game :\ |
