Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

So, after the GU6 update and all of that where do they plan on taking this game? Will they start really using boats for things? Like adding islands that requires boats to get to and what not?

Have they even discussed what they are doing after GU6? 

Listen to some of the podcasts with silias.  There are a ton of things they want to do.

Nexus raid dungeon

So new giant area to adventure in

Alternate Advancement system

Fishing system

New character animations

I think from listening to the podcast there are a HUGE number of things they want to do the challenge is keeping it down to a manageable amount :)

To be honest. Words are nice, but unless they make a bigger development team this game will just see small random updates, like a dungeon or fishing.

In my opinion SOE has an uncut gem here (from what I have read) and they should try to re-release the game and fix all the problems, add tons of content and variety and stuff not even in other mmos. They could have a winner.

As it is (even if the community will grow a little from the trial island and stuff) the game is doomed if it doesn't get some real love.

Well they kind of are "re-launching" it with their new Isle of Dawn update. The Isle of Dawn is a Free trial where players can see all Vanguard has to offer! Let them check out DIplomacy, Crafting and adventuring in this nice little package.

I bet Vanguard will see a good spike in subs with this Free trial : D

I just hope it can get the Population of EQ2 or something..

And by "exactly!" I mean "not enough".

Sure trials will spike the subs a bit. But what this game needs is love

Yeah, I would like to see Vanguard to get a bigger team but the current team is pretty good and Silius seems to really care about the game.

The last thing I want to see is for SOE to turn VG into another EQ with expansion zerg.  It would be much better for the game to get updates slowly and implement dungeons and other added features over a period of time.

    Is there going to be any kind of expansion for vanguard somewhere down the raod?? Ive been reading tha the game is starting to rebound but there needs to be some forward progress not just bug fixing and improving the performance.

Sill mentioned next year if everything goes right there will be an expansion, he even talked a little about it.

Some stuff he mentioned, it will be inspired by the King Kong Island...everything HUGE.

You will need a boat to get to this island so stuff will probably happen in the road to the island.

You will need a flying mount to get to some places up there.

Probably HUGE monsters, they want to take advantage of their engine which enables them to make HUGE mobs.

AA's, That'll be the time when PvP becomes pointless. If they do plan on adding in AA's in the future, just picture yourself being able to solo just about every mob that the game has to offer ya. Look what happened to EQ...

Maybe some people like it, but IMO to me its just another way to make you grind and make you super strong. It'll be a really bad move. But hey every player would like it, me on the other hand, I enjoy the company of people, I dont need AA's to make myself strong because thats why we group with other people, to make a strong force to be reckon with. AA's will bring out the destruction of grouping with people (other the needing a raid force to raid)
