When did I say anything about "hang chill with da devs and they tell you that they're devs and blah blah blah"? If I must elaborate on my comment about TWD beating his chest like an idiot, I've known one guy for a while who then later became a dev.  He's not going to cut contact with me because of a job... also bit hard for me to chill with him now that he's moved to Iceland.  Others have just been ratted out within the community.

seeing as like 17 of your 19 posts are in this thread and everything you post is pretty much "nuh huh, imma right"..... that speaks worlds in and of itself.  not sure who actually made an alt account to eve troll with silliness here, but yeah, that does scream goonie silliness. 

"youre" grasping for straws would be me mocking "youre" mistakes outside of eve.  the only myth to be dispelled here is that you've set yourself as an authority as to how rookies can catch up; and yet in your initial post you go off on a tangent about ways to make tons of iskies.  but then when it's pointed out that rookie players WON'T be in those positions... oh, well that's not what you meant.  and so on throughout the thread.

yeah, goldfish mentality is definitely a goonie downfall.

i mean you must be an expert at the game, you know all sorts of devs...

I know devs that are in three different alliances, most of them in senior positions (not BoB.. and I know a few people who are in leadership positions within BoB).  Anyone who beleives that the dev's huddle up in BoB or root for BoB are kidding themselves.  CCP Employees have been in almost every single major 0.0 alliance.  The dev scandals are blown out of proportion by bitter noobs who harp on about things they know nothing about.  The rest of the problem (as of recently) is big members of BoB dropping comments to purely to stir up Eve for a laugh *Cough TWD*.  BoB definetly isnt isolated when it comes to having connections with CCP employees. Trust me.  The rest just don't make it public for the purposes of stirring commotion.  I am a perfect example of this.

The post on making isk specifically said its going to take a lot of time and dedication and nowhere did it mention that new players could do it.  Theres no helping you if you read that is 'you can do it straight off a trial account'.

Stop trolling the thread and post some constructive facts and numbers about why what I'm saying isnt possible and I'll stop shooting holes through your polluting garbage.

Talking about a discussion I had with my friend "16 months ago" (pulled from OP). 
"A  player new to world of warcraft would hit 1-70 in probably 15-20 days /played.. assuming they were pretty competent, dedicated and got in at least 2-3 hours every single day they would reach level 70 within 6 months.."

16 months ago that is how long it took to level to 70 in WoW.

15-20 days /played = 420 hours
2-3 hours a day = 5.5 months

You're terrible at eve and had a hard time starting out (if you've even gotten past that phase). that doesnt mean everyone else has a hard time starting out.

if you'd have actually read threads in this forum before starting your posting (after about a year of just having an account), you might pick up on the concept that i'm trying to keep rookie pilots from having false ideas of what to/not to expect from eve.

just you repeatedly stating that i don't understand, when it's really you that's misinforming, is not doing anything other than adding to your "hey i'm new to this forum, as seen by my never posting before this week, and being new to this forum, i'll let you all know that i have a toon in eve that's around 5 years old and i know devs from eve, so let me tell you guys how it really is" and then you proceed to mis-match ideas and concepts.

0-60 in wow - a month.  60-70 - another month in wow.  slack off and goof around, and we'll just add a bonus month on top of that and you're 3 months to lvl 70. 

i can max level in wow in no time flat.  arena and BGs do NOT require you to be decked out in purps in order to do well.  there are some classes that inherently do superiour vs other classes.  i can be competitive, maxed level, maxed professions, pvp for da good stuffs inside of 3 months in wow, let's even push that back to 4 months for the heck of it.  at that point, it's just the grind for whichever purps i'm wanting, one tier after another, or arena/pvp gear, or whatever.

but that's ok, you didn't know that they made leveling quicker in wow and now you're asserting that you're just being given information by some random friend.  ya know, hey, you're an expert on all games, in your mind.  whatever.

trolling would be you making misleading statements, then backpeddling to fix the holes.  but hey, you've been playing for 5 years and know 3 devs... what does anyone else know in comparison?  maybe you're getting all your eve information from 16 months ago as well? who knows. 

but it's great that you're telling new players that catching up is a myth and then you follow it up with a lot of ways they can make lots of isk when they're vets.

honestly, you're now reminding me of "ellen" in that american express commercial, when her agent is hanging up on her.   en:nr that's ok, we understand.
