Everquest II

      I never understood why they limited players to only 7 total characters......I mean they have 24 classes but we can only have 7 characters?? Why didnt they allow 7 characters per server at least?? Some of us like our alts and like to play several of them......In EQ1 I played on 3 different servers and had 15+ characters......Also Im not interested in paying 30 bucks a month to add more characters so spare me the Station Access alternative.

I'll tell you two things:

1. It's per zone.  So that's 7 on the US servers, 7 on the Euro English servers, 7 on the test server, so that's 21 characters.  You could also have 7 on each of the other areas too but they force you to use a localised client, so unless you happen to speak french, german or spanish...

2. Sign up for Station Access for one month.  Create 12 characters (or 24 or 36).  After you've gone back to a regular account you can still access all 12/24/36 characters by typing /camp [charactername] while in the game (just remember to write down all the names!)

I've never understood why people complain about it when pretty much every other game does the exact same damned thing.

      O the test server!! The one that has about 5 people on it!!...And the euro servers?? How do we in the USA even get to them?? Ive never even seen it available....Also what other game only has 7 total characters? I think vanguard is the only other game Ive seen taht restricts its players that much....The only reason I bring this up is because I had a friend on another server that asked me to join her......The problem is I already have 7 characters all 60+ on another server.....So I either have to delete one of my well established characters to join my friend, get a second account, join station access, or tell my friend sorry.....None of these are good options......

        Next time at least read my post before you come out spewing stupid crap.....I didnt say I couldnt find the test server { Mod Edit } I said I cant get to the euro servers...Also my friend plays on Permafrost and I am already maxxed with 7 characters on Crushbone......Now if you still cant understand and feel a need to insult everyone then flame away but youre the one that is uninformed.......EQ2 is a piece of garbage anyway I have no desire to resubscribe after LL ends......

I agree with you there Theocritus. EQ2 is indeed a piece of garbage and you should not fuel any more money into it. I'm amazed that you have endured the thing long enough to get so many high level characters actually. I would not say that the character limit is a gamebreaker though......the fact that the entire game is really badly designed kind of does that instead.
