Your tears sustain me. |
No, No, No, and me too. They will have a Guild Tavern, in which anyone in a guild can use, with an upstairs room that only Guild Leaders can enter, for negotiating alliances. That was the last thing I heard about guild buildings. |

Not that I know of...except for Guild Taverns, but player housing itself I bet it won't be at release but might be on the table after release. Time will tell... |

I had a house in Everquest II and LOTRO but never saw the point really. For guilds sure, but why lock yourself away by yourself in a MMO? I'd rather just buy bigger bank space. |

You can either agree with me or be wrong! |
Mythic's last version of housing is the exact reason I'm not in a hurry to see Housing in any of the MMO's I play. |

A lot of thought has to go into a decision like this IMO. If you have small server populations like DAOC (~1000 in its heyday) and you introduce player housing, you’re going to decrease the number of people who hang out in capital cities. Cities are supposed to be a hub of activity where people can meet each other and, at the very least, feel immersed in the massively multiplayer culture of an MMORPG. In my humble opinion, there’s little worse than walking through a ghost town that is supposed to be your capital city. Each time you create new key gathering areas, you segment your population. These games are supposed to have areas of congregation and when you introduce a housing feature, that’s where people will start to spend a good part of their time. This definitely happened in DAOC. Visit any of the original capital cities and you’ll find that they are completely dead. |

Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear! |
Originally posted by Battlekruse Unless you had player houses inside the city like a real city does. Then you could have a place to retire if you felt like it, but all the daily things you'd need to do (bank, Guild Tavern, auction house, whatever) could still be in the city. However, the enemy could just burn it down if they captured it, so the houses would have to be cheap, or they would have to introduce a way to build them yourself or with help. It'd make roleplayers happy though and could provide an added reason to fight hard to defend it. Edit: Better idea. Housing on the outskirts of the capitals that couldn't be attacked by the enemy, but had direct access to everything you'd need inside the city. No talk of player housing right now OP, only Guild Taverns. |

Be careful when you fight the trolls, lest you become one. |
Mythic has already stated that there will be no housing, at least not at release |

Yes, Housing is a possiblity in the future, as stated in several interviews throughout the months.
- Not at launch - Not anytime soon - And maybe Guild only housing they are not sure yet.
A good chance but not a definite and not soon. :) Give it a year and I'm sure we will get something.
