| There's something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be, desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety? |

I missed it when it happened too. I was with a friends house with a bunch of people and had no interest in either Justine, Janet or the show and was talking to someone when someone shouted, "Did you see THAT?!" Buy the time I turned to look it was gone. I did see it later on video and it sort of made me chuckle at how everyone made juch a big deal out of it. Judging from the look on Jackson's face when it happened I tend to belive it was an accident. But I suppose it was a matter of when it happened that was the big thing...bad timing and at the wrong venue. Oh well.... Even the best layed plans...can go horreribly wrong! |

Love is benevolent evil. It is the sweet plague that devours reason, leaving euphoria in its place. |

There was a star on her nipple, and it happened at a point where they said "I'm gonna get you out of your clothes by the end of this song" or something along those lines. It wasn't an accident. One of the MTV execs thought they had a good idea, and when it back-fired, they fired some people, told people the story to stick to, and shoved money at people.
Either way, I don't care. I'm more offended that people find a naked boobie so disgusting and offensive. That says something about the way people think. |

i agree it wasnt an accident, the way he ripped off the part of her shirt, it was clear that it was meant to come off. Unless that outfit she was wearing was only weak on her breasts. I just watched it, and didnt see what the big deal was. Im more upset that there wasnt more boob shown then too much. |

If buying Marijuana supports terrorists, legalize it so we can buy American. |
I'm glad the fine was reversed. Although, anyone who pays MTV to provide entertainment deserves a fine on general principal. The show was almost as ridiculous as the reaction. Wardrobe malfunction, really? They should have just copped to intent. What's so bad about a pasty during a super bowl halftime show? I've seen Herbal Essences commercials during prime time contained very deliberate soap suds facials. |

I remember this. Its amazing how mainstream media goes apeshit and portrays Americans as weaklings and fearful of nudity and sexuality. Kneejerk reactions like this make me wonder if the majority of Americans are really that uncomfortable with nudity/sexuality. Or is it just the govt/MSM fearmongering. |

Anybody that buys that wardrobe malfunction crap is a fool...The way he grabbed for a very specific part of her top and then pulled, combined with her wearing a little star over her nipple (cause women just usually wear little pastie stars over their nipples right?) It was obviously planned.
As for the knee jerk reaction, yeah, it was overboard, but you gotta remember who the target audience of the super bowl is (everybody) the NFL had a right to get mad. |
