Cryptic Studios has posted a profile of Foxbat, the 'greatest villain in the world' in their upcoming superhero MMO, Champions Online.

too silly for me

I have to say, I'm interested in the game, but that was pretty lame. Was that a pre existing champions pnp villain? If not, they need to do better for the game.

While I don't mine the humor at all I still think this is my least favorite villian they have introduced.

So their greatest supervillian is a lisping closet homo with delusions of grandeur? Please, I see a dude like that every day on Maury.

Lame, very uninspiriing, and makes me want to play the game even less than I did before.

Strangely enought, this game is beating most other titles extremely easily in my interest.  Bottomline, it will be FUN.  I will do what I want, when I want, the way I want.  Which is what a game is supposed to be about.

Some comments are quite dense.  Oh no, the main villain is making me laugh, I mean, the world will stop resolving right now!  LOL.  Silliness is an acceptable path to fun.

EDIT: Zorv, you know what happen to the man who NEVER get what he wants?  He also had nothing to hope for.

If I have never gotten what I wanted, then I always have hope that next time I will.

foxbat thinks he's the best thing in the world, like the short description.  he's, um, not.  he's comic relief, sort of like Bat-Manuel from the Tick.

i forgot all about the villains...  if they have that one group... the dude with gadgets that controls the giant alien guy, the chick feline serial killer, and i think like two others in that super villain group....

man, i might have to play champ just to see if they do the pnp justice or not.   of course, if they dork it, i'll seriously put them on the loser-mmo-iceburn list.

edit:  or the clowns with the sentient vw-bug.

i would think Dr. Destroyer would probably  be the greatest villain, also probably why he was the first villain profile they had, followed by one of his minion's profile.  foxbat is exactly how his thing sounds - delusional.  the only person that thinks he's the greatest villain is himself.

After reading your last two posts, I'm gonna have to go look up the pnp game. I never even heard of it before the mmo was announced, but if this humorous take on superheroes/villians is native to it, it might actually be fun.

I haven't found this game to be all that different from coh, except that its graphics are less attractive. I've essentially retired from coh for good after playing on and off for 2 1/2 years, mostly because they nerfed the last toon I played (my pvp toon) into oblivion, so maybe I'm a little super-heroed out, but what is the allure Anofalye?

 Edit* Ok, I see now, thought the customization was just in appearance, those graphics are hurtin tho
