It's interesting to note that, though Bioware has not officially come out and said that they're making a new MMO. It's gaining a lot of attention here in the boards than SOE is getting though they just made more announcements and even showed trailers of their new DC MMO.

Interesting, and kinda sad in a way. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to a DC MMO, but with SOE in charge... well... you know.

That they are making a MMO is common knowledge and it HAS been publically announced. The interesting bit is the setting. And well, I am quite certain that the rather uncertain/rumorish nature of the announcement is part reason of the incredible attention the whole topic is getting.

As for DC Online. Well...that's just another announcement right now. Not so much to speculate about.

Well the point I was trying to make, was that it was interesting that, Bioware's game, which has not been officially announced and is supposed to be in charge of a major IP (Star Wars), is getting a lot more attention to SOE which has made an announcement of an MMO and shown videos and is also in charge of a major IP (DC).

Well that just shows the kind of reputation SOE has.

There's something really uncomfortable about DC Online being made by SOE.  Sure, from what I've seen it looks fan-flipping-tastic, and is basically the wet dream of any comic book fan.  But with SOE behind it, there's just this huge, looming cloud of unease over the whole thing, like I'm waiting for the very instant that they'll say or do something that will screw it up.

Playing: Nothing At The Moment
Played: CoX, WoW, lots of free-to-play crap
Looking Forward To: Champions Online, Blade and Soul, Star Trek Online, Football Superstars.

I don't know how I feel about the graphics personally, I mean, if you look at it closely, the models seemed like they were ripped off directly from CoH, only with DC costumes instead. Also, did you notice the models for the actual player characters? I don't know, me personally, I thought that they looked like cheap hybrid mutations of Flash and Power Rangers. Of course, it was hard to notice them at first considering that the trailer was focusing a little too much on the DC super heroes. Again, personally I'm really not sure about it, especially when I saw how they made Nightwing. He looked incredibly similar to a model I did myself in CoH (only with 2 ninja swords since they didn't have batons he he), which, in retrospect, isn't all that good, all I'm saying is that I was definetely expecting more, but then again, I should've realized that we're talking about SOE.

Edited to add: Oh, I forgot to mention that I was definetely not pleased with the way Joker came out either... it just, I don't know... looked very lifeless to me.
