God made women because mens brains are broken. |
Hey all, my gaming rigs mobo died. Need a new one. So I am asking for help. Money is not an issue so don't be worried about what the mobo cost that you recommend. Here is what I have for a CPU and vid card and my current power supply.
Please recommend a good mobo that can take the heat! My last two boards were both Asus and they lasted about 6 months before burning up. I'll go with MSI or Giga...no more Asus. Make sure it is SLI capable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance; Kristi ^_^ |

ahh yeah you're right, good catch, as for Asus, you're correct about that as well, pretty much junk the last few years. Giga builds some of the most solid boards, IMHO. |

indeed their boards are solid and i like the cooling solutions also. they have really made an effort to elevate their status over the past couple years (though msi is not exactly a slouch) and i think it has paid. i think i like gigabytes pack-in software better than msi too. |

Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his brother. |
My choice would be with the ABIT AN9-32X. Its a 590 chipset. You can read all about it here, with nice installation pics too. http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/ABIT_AN9-32X/index.shtml You see ASUS has alot of mobo's here. My choices would be ABIT AN9-32X GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-S4 MSI K9N SLI Platinum If only you went with and Intel CPU, yours will hold you back if you get a second GPU. :) Hope helps.

OK I found this one. It looks good. Has a bit more going for it in that it has what the Giga has and a bit more. XFX nForce 750a SLI Motherboard What do you think? |
