Nope. It's been stated that it will be a DX9 game at launch, and there are no future plans for upgrading. That doesn't mean an expansion won't up the ante, but not in the foreseeable future. |

Honestly no reason for it. Maybe in 3 years MMO's will sport the need to.
But as of right now, like AOC, people just don't have the power to drive a fully functional DX10 high settings with that many toons on the screen.
Just not worth it right now. |

It will be for dx9. As for a dx10 mmo? I think AoC will be the first and last dx10 mmo. DX 11 is due out in 2009 with Windows 7 so why would anyone start work on a dx10 mmo? Unless there is already a dx10 mmo in the works but I haven't heard of any(bioware maybe?). |

Although the game will be compatible with DirectX 10 and Vista, it likely won't be built up around the new graphics software and its new features. |

Yup lotro has dx 10, but honestly it make a nice difference but not the life changing experience that dx10 was supposed to bring. Dont bother upgrading to vista only to get dx10, get yourself 8 gigs of ram and dual 9800 ultra before |
