Development is mainly focused around testing and fixing bugs. We're also optimizing client and servers. We're playtesting a lot, we've also logged many hours of large battles and we're very excited with what we're experiencing.
 

While playtesting we're getting a lot of video footage that's going to end up in a video we'll be releasing next month so you'll get an idea of what we've been talking about.

Will they release a comprehensive video showing people what darkfall is all about or will they throw together 2 minutes of 5 second fly bys of 40 different places that shows you next to nothing about the game?
 

 
Next month we will know for sure if these guys are trying their hardest to live up to their [in]famy or are just a bunch of clueless chumps who dont know a damn thing about MMO development.

small. I think they will stick to their promise this time, however the content of the video remains yet to be seen...

I am hoping that this turns out to be a reality.

I dont know, but we have already seen alot in the other videos. But you have to watch for yourself. Noone is spelling it out for you.

If we see 200 hundred characters fighting in the next video, if only for 5 seconds....that will tell us alot. Now i dont want it to be a 5 seconds video.

I hope for a ten minute video that shown everything from character creation to respawn after death.

Something that make us all come togeather to talk about Darkfall here, except just arguing about if its vaporware or not.

Thats the least to expect. Considering they are aiming for a 2008 launch.

they should be ready for a 2008 launch, especially considering beta started years ago. /sarcasm off.

Honestly, I think Tasos should just come out and admit he is a f*&k up and that he doesn't have the first clue about PR.

Then he should say that he won't say anything else until he has a REAL beta announcement.

Personally I would like to see more on the different player cities that can be built, as well as the sieging stuff. Would like to see short flybys  through the 4 smaller continents to see their contrast in environments as well.

I hope it's a mix of stuff.

I don't believe this is a game coming out ever.  My gut has never been wrong.

I dunno man, there's been hella lot of activity lately, and no way a big company like AVE would sign ANYTHING and even THINK about setting up a new distribution business unless they had a lot of confidence in the product. That more than anything makes me feel like it's really coming out this time.

I believe this video will something special, something that people all across the mmo boards will be talking about. The date for Beta start will come within weeks of the video and it will all tie together into the buzz about Darkfall hitting new heights.

The thought has crossed my mind too but having been around for the 2006 near-beta I don't want to get too excited though I have to admit it really does feel like the real thing this time...

im expecting alot from this video. 15 minute video atleast heck they've had enough time.It should show char. creation, UI, Crafting, mob AI,city building,skill trees then get into the combat side of things.No more of this soon,next month stuff put up or shut up devs. We've been loyal fans reward us for that.

If you think that a game that's spent this long, with this much money in development, from a small team with finite resources, that just signed a publishing deal, isn't going to come out, then you need to find help.

So you're saying just  because they developed forever and don't have much resources that proves the game will come out?  That's just wishful thinking.

And even if that were the case. They could at this point simply be kicking a turd out the door to try and get back some of their money.  It's been done with SB and plenty of other lesser profile games.

I'am 99% sure this thing will fail hardcore. All the signs are just there. The odds of it succeeding are almost zero at this point.

They don't even have a publisher , or Beta date , or anything really ,   5 months to a launch.

I said the same thing about Dark and Light a year before it "came out".  Of course none of the morons who followed it would listen... just like with Darkfall.

Funny that everyone who followed DnL to the grave moved on to Darkfall for a second round of disappointment.  LOL

Mark my words. This game will turn out to be a big steaming load if it's ever actually put on public display that is.

Darkfall keep making promises they don't keep. No one ever hold them accountable for it. They promised beta for years and never has any problems waiting half a year and then announcing it will come soon, again.

The game is a hoax. There are no videos of a real working, fully functional game engine. Why? Because the game doesn't exist.
