After seeing the end of Avatar the animated show on nick i am left thinking how it could be turned into a very good MMOrpg. I am pretty sure it is not just me who agrees that there is potential for great game (have seen others starting the same conversations). And sadly the other attempts for avatar games have not turned out so well =/. I am not saying this could turn out to be a "wow killer" or the next step in MMO gaming but it would be a very fun and enjoyable game.

Any1 else think this could be really cool?

Its all fun and games until the flying monkeys attack.

According to the communtiy here, every game is a "wowkiller".  And if hello kitty made a mmorpg, I dont see why avatar couldnt.

Well i do know there is a fan based mmo being made but it is not exactly what i had in mind. It is with sprites and things of that nature (elemental nations is the name i beleive)

And hopefully it will be a "hello kitty island adventure killer" or something of that sort =P

There are plenty of wonderful IPs out there that can be made into an mmo like Naruto.  However, the IPs they choose are always some dreary overused stuff.  That said, I am not for basing an mmo after a television show, but if they do I wish they would use a better IP.

Cry Havok; and let loose the dogs of war.

Acta Non Verba

I was thinking this the entire time i was watching the fight with Aang and the emperor. The game is pretty polished, and there is potential there to make a solid mmo from the game. There is alot of creativity in there. And with the show finished the ability to simply go off and start an enitrely new story is there.

I would definatly play an avatar mmo, the show was excellent, i havent enjoyed an anime this much since dragonball z.

Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear!

I saw one of the more action-filled episodes, and for a kids' show it was actually pretty cool. Don't know how good the story would be or anything since story is important in MMORPGs, but just seeing the combat I think there's alot of things you could do with it.

EDIT: I know a little about the story so maybe they could have it kind of like LotRO, where you follow the Fellowship's journey and help them but from the shadows in the background.

The have the faction system there, with the 4 factions/nations, Earth, Water, Fire, Air. They don't really need the class system just more the wide variety of bending abilities. Its just so cool how Fire can branch off too electricity, as well as the ability to fly with certain levels of control, Water branches off too Ice as well as healing and nature manipulation and for the darker sides, controlling the body through bending the blood. Earth controls sand, and metal and can be used to reinforce the body for just pure brute strength. Air is kind of limited compared to the others but used in combination with other elements it can get them all.

Since the series is finished, the story can be completely new and created, and there are a lot of creative creatures in the show that can fill the game world. The game would probably work well going back 100 years to the time where the air benders and water benders were still alive and thriving, or it could take place right where the show left off, trying to rebuild the broken world left behind by the fire emperor and having to deal with underground factions still loyal to the fire emperor trying to or successfully manging to break him out of jail and then he tries to retake his kingdom. or even Azula doing it.

The potential is there.

So is reading...

That is not an mmo, its just a single player game that came out on all consoles a few years back.
