I just found this video on youtube taken from gamesday in Toronto. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-4rq5u-_uU Click on watch in high quaility under the video where it says the number of views and don't fullscreen it. These aren't even the final graphics. And notice how smooth the animations are. Mythic has come a long way in the last 2 months. *The combat seems a bit slow but this also appears to be one of the lowest levels and there are very few skills. Also, this is the first time the person playing has ever touched this game so I'd expect a bit more response from someone who's had experience. |

I hope that combat looks like this because of the fact that it's a low level toon that is being played, but old videos were shown with a Chaos Chosen of high level that were just about the same combat pace...it's a little bit discouraging. |

| There's something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be, desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety? |

The combat itself seems just fine to me. I was just talking about the lack of variety in skills that we see in the video. I, personally, think the pace is great. I wouldn't want to play a game where I had to be as responsive as if I was playing a shooter. Show me a good game that has a faster pace and is still enjoyable. I doubt if you'll find one. Games with a similar fighting pace: Everquest 2, Wow, DAOC (Although this ones a bit slower than WAR), COX. *And if you look at any of the newer RvR videos, the animation quality is lower but the speed of combat does pick up quite a bit. Plus the chosen may not be the best class to reference as far as combat speed as they are characteristically a very slow class. |
