Communism is just a red herring. |
Classic response from a fanboi who didn't even bother checking to see if it was true before mouthing off on it . "i'm sorry but this is a clear troll post please lock it... theres nothing from AO in AOC... that is why there are not screenshots.. yes i logged on to check this and it is false.. just another troll.. nothing to see here lets get back to playing"
Proof that fanboi's are just as bad (if not worse) than haters. |

Thats nothing aoc uses the modified ao graphics engine. The dreamworld engine they did a great job updating it and eliminating all the flaws of ao lol. |

This is almost a complete sham if they didn't even build AoC from the ground up . I feel very good now that I didn't wait for the game and chose a different , polished and professionally produced title. Kind of fitting the game is on Eidos, cause most of the title Eidos picks up are lower then mediocre. |

Don't see what all the fuss is about quite frankly. It's all just algorithms - why can't they re-use aspects of AO; I think the graphics are a development of AO's graphics - great, why not? I mean, sure it's sloppy in the sense that the AO terms linger on in the code somewhere, but whether the presence of those old terms means automatically that the game must be bad is another question. AO is a classic MMO whether one likes it or not. It's lasted a good long time, and it has some great gameplay that's kept players entertained fora long time. It would be no surprise at all if FC reused some of the ideas from their previous MMO. |

well said guru, of course it makes sense to use some of the same code, most software houses do this a guess the moot point is the system they described/marketed before game release was not the one they have elbowed in now |

Say it like it is |
I received a survey from Funcom, they seem to need help. |

At least from my perspective.. using pre-existing code should be something you do to: 1) shorten development time 2) You already know how it works (goes back to 1) and should cause less issues later. That to me is the point... So one has to wonder if this was the way it always was.. or if they tried to do this instead in order to hit a street date. I didn't buy AoC so that I could be unhappy and crap on it on a forum. I paid the money I did hoping for an enjoyable game. I actually enjoyed AO at launch (yes I might be the only one!!).

| *** The sad thing is that in 2008 "Crap in a Box" could have won MMO of the year. |
