Star Wars Galaxies

It would seem, from an interview with Smed, that Hoth will also bring vehicle combat to SWG after all these years...

I think people have the wrong impression about Star Wars Galaxies. We still have a very active live team. We have a bunch of new content just out, and a bunch of new content in the pipe. Have they talked to you about what's coming? Vehicles in battles on Hoth? It's amazing. It is expansion-pack level content, and it's going to be included for free as part of the release. We could have done a straight-up expansion pack but we decided not to do it that way because of the history with the game and expansions. We want to focus on the content. I think it's a really good game now. We think the content is there, the polish is way up.

This would be the same guy that said "the CU is here to stay", so sure it may sound cool, believe it when you see it though.

Therein lies the problem ,"After all these years" .. Why has it been all these years ? Because rather than add to the game they have continually dismantled it . Only now has the focus turned to new development , After all these years you would think everyone has the right Idea about SWG Smed. Your decisions have destroyed whatever chance this game had at success . Noone believes in your team John , That's because of you.. face it.

Many people would have loved to try these expansion like additions !! However after crashing and burning at your hands two times over , We have all decided to let you take this last flight alone ..

I agree, content like what the game is getting now should have been happening from the start but we all know the story of what happened there.  I'm not one to dwell on the past and for those of us that play and enjoy the game of today (which is the main purpose of this forum...), this will be pretty big, if it eventuates.

I agree, content like what the game is getting now should have been happening from the start but we all know the story of what happened there.  I'm not one to dwell on the past and for those of us that play and enjoy the game of today (which is the main purpose of this forum...), this will be pretty big, if it eventuates.

But it's only the Hoth instance that will have vehicle combat, and I thought I read that Hoth will not be PvP. Tthat kinda seems like a let down IMO.

"Have they talked to you about what's coming?  Vehicles in battles on Hoth?"  Man that sounds a lot like "how would you like to see guild-controlled star destroyers?' 

"I think people have the wrong impression about StarWars Galaxies" sounds a lot like "the response to the NGE has been overwhelmingly positive."

Advice to Smed: talk less and seek alternative employment--not in a service industry based on trust.
