I am just happy that SOE has nothing to do with the next game.
I would love to a more social based game, but even an EQ clone game wouldn't be to bad if done right. |

Which means another major hit to sub numbers. And truthfully speaking, us using our power as consumers, leaving SWG, and bitching to high-heaven about the NGE has definetly done damage to SOE and SWG as it stands now. There are no doubts about it. We...WIN! Fortunetly for even NGE fanbois, I'm sure there will be plenty of fun to be had in the new SW MMO and I'd be happy to enjoy it along side any of you.

I dunno, I can actually see an angle here that DOES give credit to the hateful vets for the eventual death of SWG. See...the Bioware MMo is not going to be anything like Pre-CU. Its most likely going to be far more similar to the standard rollercoaster MMO with some wide options to put it in line with the KOTOR series. What that translates into is a situation where players who are merely playing SWG for the IP and the style are going to leave it for Bioware as they will provide a better overall game cut from that cloth. However, had they simply left the old game alone....the hateful vets would have stuck around, because they liked the sandbox appeal of it. In short by throwing US away to appeal to that crowd...they have completely destroyed any chance at all of surviving this new game. By persisting on not playing galaxies....the vets ensure there are NO players that will be around to pull SOE out of this. So, no, the vets may not have been the crux behind which the new MMO was made. They would have been the cushion to save SOE from eventual loss when it is made, however. |

That has nothing to do with how vocal the fans are. SOE has only themselves to blame for this. There may be a few hundred people on this forum that are complete pre-cu "fanbois" (as you like to call the people enjoying the game) or are only trailing you because it is "cool". This is nothing in the wide-eye of things. The only way and I mean the ONLY way the "Vets" will "win" anything is if SOE releases a pre-cu server. It is inevitable that an MMO shuts down. Hell I could say " WoW is going to shut down! Mark my words!" and when the game does shut down does that mean anything? No it doesn't, everything runs in cycles. |

The responses to my original post have been very predictable...fanbois and viral marketers in denial. |

forever we will remember, forever forgotten it will be not. |
Exactly, and for the record there is now 5 delusional "vets". Looking forward to more jumping on the bandwagon "We win!" "We win!" "Can we go to ChuckieCheeses now?". Reminds me of a childs t-ball game.
So you predicted that there is still some sane people among you? Good job! *thumbs up* You have lost it as well as the rest of 5, you no longer know reality you probably jump in your chair and think your in a x-wing defeating the even SOE tyrants. I just don't understand how you can be soooo far off base. |
